As a publication, we strive to create and maintain one of the largest archives of kiting information and multimedia found anywhere on the worldwide web... Event reports, feature articles, interviews, out of print publications, videos, nearly anything of historic, practical or entertainment value for kite fliers from any part of this planet.
With such a depth of content on our site, we get quite a bit of traffic from the search engines and typically turn up in the first 1-3 pages of results when people try to find anything to do with kites... In addition to general kite inquiries, we also hear from newspapers, magazine and other media companies on a regular basis.

What does it all mean? Simply, we're welcoming hundreds of new kite enthusiasts on a daily basis who are looking for information about kites, and where to buy their own!
In addition to our search engine traffic, Kitelife boasts a strong base of regular visitors (dedicated kite enthusiasts with growing kite bags) who return time and time again to browse our members section, publication archives, forums, videos, etc.

Banner graphics should be provided by the advertiser using the specifications listed below, although we can do the graphics work here at Kitelife for an additional fee.
Home Page Ad (click for example)
Banner placement on the home page for each of our current advertisers, in order of seniority, complete with link to vendor's site.

Scrolling Banner Ad - Main Pages
On the right side of each section page (archives, videos, contact, about, etc) you'll find scrolling ads for each of our current advertisers... These are loaded in random order, with the vendor's link and full ALT and TITLE tags (scrolling ads can be found on right side of this page).
* Home page ads are 135px wide, by a maximum of 140px tall.

Scrolling Banner Ad - Issue Pages
On the right side of each bi-monthly issue page (index, articles, galleries) you'll find scrolling ads for each advertiser that was active with us at the time the issue was released. These are shown in random order.
This service also qualifies you for ad placement in our "daily updates" from certain high profile events throughout the year (KTAI, AKAGN), same style as regular issues, at no additional charge.
It should also be noted, these ads are a permanent part of any issue and daily update they are added to, even after an advertiser cancels, provided their account was paid in full at the time of termination... The key to this is that your paid ads keep on sending traffic to your site, even in the event you elect not to use our services any longer.

On the right side of our forum index page you'll find scrolling ads for each of our current advertisers... These are loaded in random order, with the vendor's link and full ALT and TITLE tags (scrolling ads can be found on right side of this page).

Featured Ad - Main, Forum Topic and Issue Pages
Located "center page", these ads are in a key spot on most of the common pages (magazine index, articles, etc) published during your term of advertising service... These same featured ads also appear at the bottom of all forum discussion pages, we have more than 3300 discussions in our database as of 6/30/09 and most have multiple pages, increasing overall ad exposure.
Ads at this level will come up in random order each time a page is loaded.
* Footer ads are strictly 435px wide, by 80px tall.

Review Placement (click for example)
On occasion, we do product reviews in issues and offer premium link placement for retailers who carry the featured product and would like to reach visitors at both the top and bottom of the review, by way of the store name (linked to their site)... These are also permanent, under the same stipulation as other issue ads. |
You'll be hard pressed to find any other web advertising that offers you permanent placement in archived issues... Based on an average of 22 articles (and one index) per issue, that puts your banner ad on 138 pages over the course of one year, and the same 138 pages stay in our public archives as long as Kitelife stays in business (10 years running now), multiplied by the number of issues you've been advertising with us!
With traditional magazine/publication advertising, you're limited to the subscriber base of that publication, and every copy will eventually be shelved, all but forgotten... Whereas Kitelife's bi-monthly Internet magazine is available at all times, accessible free of charge to the general public and placed in daily results on most of the major search engines - putting your ads in front of people forever!
With over a decade online (since April '98), we're not going anywhere.
