That was last year's Carolina Kite Fest in Atlantic Beach, NC, put on by the good folks at Kites Unlimited & Bird Stuff. This year's Kite Fest is October 29 - 30 at the same location as this Google map picture, the Sands Villa Resort in Atlantic Beach. I'll be there, hope to see some of you others too!
Hello, i just can't stand not showing you this video footage. In France kite seem to be so forgotten because of electric assisted multirotor toy... nevermind... a local TV gave us a chance to show our sport hobby. But the wind was not here and my B-Zen was the only one kite that can be flown i really like this kite
Think of the half axel in two halves. First get the kite into a flare: a bit of slack on the top wing and then a harder input to get into a flare. Then a softer input on what was the old bottom wing to lift it out of the flare and then pull on both lines to power it away.
If you think of it this way, the transition to HA cascades is much easier.
You can also break the trick into two parts. Practice the flare bit first and then when you have got that, you can move onto the second half lifting it out of the flare and powering it off.
