  1. This is from one day last week at Ocean Shores. 3 dual line kites from a short morning session and 3 single lines from the afternoon. The Nirvana segment is done as a Trick Study, with one clip of each trick. These are mostly new tricks to me or new ways of approaching elements I've known for awhile. Both sections, Dual line and Single, represent skill sets very much in process, so please let me now what you think. And yes, that's me crashing the 4D into the ocean...... Click on the link below the video to watch in HD. I highly recommend itThanks for watching! Dual and single Line Kites from Dave362 on Vimeo.

  2. O.K.not repeat, but that some nice video on stunts and the slids. The crash of the 4D looked plan to me, cause the recovery was sweet. The tricks where real good, truly enjoyed the video and the music.

  3. Nice one Dave, enjoyed it all. Would love to get a nice little spinner to put somewhere, in the garden or on my car. The other day at the field, there were a few guys with motorized para-gliders (what in hell is the name of those things??) and they had these mini bols, or colored wind socks, on a poll attached to their 4WD vehicles, like the ones you have as laundry line, to help understand the wind. Anyway, your music choice is also very enjoyable

  5. Good stuff, Aaron. you really tore it up with that widowmaker! SparkieRob, Thanks, man. I'm really glad you liked it. Having a few different kites made it fun to work on. The trick study for me is in many ways about documenting what I'm working on. Now I'll try to string more of them together in combos and then try to vary the transitions, end game being to increase my tricking vocabulary. That should keep me busy for awhile......... Thanks all for you great comments!

  7. Oooh nice one Rob, would you mind emailing me the full resolution ones with a description ? Today I finally got to fly my new UL Seven, and it was the most complete experience! As soon as I picked up the climax lines and started to fly, there was an immediate connection , and the Seven preformed all the tricks I had in my bag with no learning process. It was like we knew each other from way before. It was almost intimate [emoji6] Thank you kindly, Iftah.

  9. Here's a couple of pictures of Aaron's kites. Aaron made the best anchor holes. He had a very nice stand up beach shovel which I totally intended to steal. However, shifty lad that he is, Aaron is never without his sunglasses and is therefore very hard to get the jump on......

  10. We were back on the beach for about 3 hours today. The wind was light so we did not break out the new vented 1.5s, but stuck to using my SLE and Miss Terry's EXP. Using the tips we got from tkrinor the other day we had a great time and feel like we have come so far. We leave Newport in the morning for two weeks in Seaside and then we'll be in Long Beach for 3 weeks. Looking forward to more times on the lines.

  11. The basic maneuvers are: launch, forward and reverse flight, turns, hovers, and slides. EVERYTHING else is based on combinations of these basic moves and positions. Something to aim for is to be able to put the kite in any position, for instance inverted, and move it in any direction without changing the position. In other words, if the kite is inverted, keep it inverted and try moving at 45 degrees to the upper left, or right, or down or left or right, or at 30 degrees, etc, etc, etc. Now do it holding a side hover, then a 45 hover left. No matter which way the leading edge is pointed, you should be able to move the kite in any direction, keeping the leading edge pointed in the original heading. Tricks, on the other hand, like axels and catch and throw are fairly easy once you have mastered the basic moves.
