  1. This is in the lobby of the building where I work. I don't fly quads yet, but the signs are everywhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  2. BTW, I got the kite in the mail. Looks great. I hope to fly it at a festival this weekend. This will sound odd, Josh, but it was the best looking package I ever got. The tape was absolutely perfect, the flaps were firm and only folded on the crease. It was like the packages you see on the commercials. I notice weird things.

  3. For a dual line kite... Top wind range- when the wingtips start to shudder & shake, it's time to land & put the kite away before it gets broken. Bottom wind range- if you can't get the kite to fly, that's beneath the kite's wind range. Some pilots will be able to get it to fly, some won't. Bottom wind range isn't so dependant on the kite, more the pilot. I've heard of people that can get a vented kite to fly indoors... Hope this helps, like the others said above, take the advertised wind ranges lightly. They're meant to give you an idea before you take the kite out of the bag, or before you buy it.

  4. Good flying -- looks like a great place to fly. Sit-down is my kind of flying! Keep the vids coming. The wind you had that day is typical of what we have here in the midwestern US. Gusty, bumpy, full of nulls and constantly shifting direction. Pain to fly/practice in, but when you can fly in that, you can fly in anything. One thing I noticed, and please don't take it as criticism, the bottom bungees could be tightened some on this Lime/Black kite. Watch the video again and look at the creases that run parallel to the length of the kite. From about 2:30 on you can see how the sail is bunched up towards the leading edge. Tighten up 'til those are gone and you will noticeably improve your ability to pull off a flatter axel, as well as provide a bit more lift for light wind flying.

  7. Sorry. I tried to copy and paste, but I think I grabbed the wrong stuff. Maybe if we highlighted the relevant stuff back in the original Karma rules for future postings. Thanks Barton for the clean up. BTW, thanks for the spice, Barton. You're a righteous dude.

  8. Great prize! I'm going to add a little spice though, Todd, if you don't mind. Participation seems to have waned a bit of late. So for every 3 people who get "In" on this drawing, I will add $5 of my own money to the gift certificate up to $25 additional dollars. 15 people means you get a chance at $50 instead of $25. Spread the word, folks. This is a really great thing we have going here. -B

  12. I just ordered a 3rd customized Zen so sorry, wish I would have waited to help you out sir. You can CHANGE how your Zen flies for less than 65 dollars though, unless you are getting out of Revs entirely (call the Shooks at Flying Smiles Kites)

  13. Did you really give it a chance?? Many people I've chatted with, call it "different" or something. I don't know about anyone else, but I probably fly mine more than the average flier. But my first Rev was a big wing too, the Rev1. I was already used to the way it felt, pretty much. Wish I had some disposable income, I'd gladly have taken it off your hands. PS: I already use 15" handles with mine!!
