  1. So when I got to school from a great week at WSIKF, I had a large amount of OSK stickers. I gave one to one of my teachers to put on his podium at the front of his class and when I walked in today, I found this. I'm proud of myself for exposing Western Colorado to the kiting lifestyle.

  2. I have one in my cubicle at work. They also have this print on a shirt. When we are in ocean shores my young daughter has often worn the stickers around town on her shirt.

  3. Well, it does offer some solid advice. No reason not to educate.

  4. After a few days when the impressionist has been digested. It has been a great weekend at the Danish quad clinic 2017. For a number of years, it has been my dream and get John Barresi to Denmark and do a quad clinic, I know it has also been John's wish to come here. And now I sit here and it's all over, with the feeling I want more. Thanks to all of this could be possible. I hope with all my heart, your all, I've got something good out of it, things that you can use forwards, practices and even develop your skills as quad pilots. Use what you have learned in the future for your development, do not stop this progress, you are all good quad pilots. And who knows, there may be a follow-up to this clinic in a timely manner. With that said, I do miss the cohesion and friendship we have. And can only look forward to Nordic Kite Meeting 18. love Dan

  6. Again almost a year later after it started being offered for sale, and being discussed here on Kitelife, I think I've found the first team to be flying RXs! Not familiar with this team's skills, but the performance with the kites don't look anything exciting like B's are in the YouTubes. :l (not sure if they're flying with springs or regular rods either) Very scarce coverage on these new go-to Rx kites, it's the new defacto if you're new to the hobby and visit the official rev homepage without doing further research on other rev models, so, new go-to kite.

  8. Yes it is! And once you think you have learned it all, someone will invent something new to do and you're learning again. Vented kites always feel smoother than full sail kites because of the smaller area being affected by inconsistencies in the way the wind is blowing and because the kite moves slower. Same force, smaller surface. That is also the reason it is a bit harder to launch. However, the launch and overall speed are the only things it affects. Once you've launched you should be golden. Remember that when you come in one knot you give up some percentage of control over reverse flight and hovers. I don't think that adjusting the top lines on the fly would be enough of a benefit to justify the time to develop a method of doing it. You can simulate bringing them one or two knots in by putting your index fingers over the top leaders. Most flyers just get used to having to give it a little extra "pop" when launching. Now as a method of very, very fine tuning it might be interesting on the fly. Half the fun is modifying or building variations of things that exist. That is how great discoveries are made. Go for it, but make sure you're having fun. After all, that's what kite flying is about.
