Let's see, the wife and I bought a couple of kites on our honeymoon in Hawaii, and been flying ever since...btw neither kite flew the entire time we spent in Hawaii...in 1986 I got introduced to stunt kites in San Diego, well we both did, although I was the one who stuck with it, our first flight was a disaster, broke the cross spar right away...took a few weeks to get it repaired, by that time, she had moved on to R/C planes, and I kept trying, the grin on my face made my whole face hurt seeing those kites soaring if only for a few seconds...fast forward to now, I finally broke down and bought a small trailer to bring my collection to the various sites I flew at, now to me it's a serious hobby, not a business, but I have everything from single line diamonds, to my buggy power kite at 11 meters...and yes dipping into making my own kites, finally got a sewing machine...lol
