Thanks for the link John. Unfortunately all club and event locations are held on Mainland Japan. Okinawa is mentioned however, there is presently nothing active that I could see. I will still add it to my favorites and keep an eye on it. Thanks again for the assist . Mike Okinawa

Hi All, I'm a newbie flyer and newborn Kite Geek. I came upon flying while looking for a distraction from the JOB I'm here to do. Anyway, I'm here on Okinawa (Active U. S. Military) and am looking for other flyers at this location. Anybody out there? I'm learning this on my own with help from watching the net vids and reading forums. Not that difficult and progress has been slow but tricking is coming along. I believe I'm doing okay but it's difficult to tell being a solo flyer. I fly at every opportunity and have been doing so at the same spot since I began. This choice of flying spot kinda sucks but it's in good view from the U. S. Naval Hospital, Camp Lester and Hwy 58, one of Okinawa's main roads. This is my "Bat Signal" to locate other flyers. So far, it's not working. Am I the only Kite Geek on this Island? I can't be. The island's population is about one million. U. S. Military and DOD Civilian personnel plus families is another 40,000ish. Gotta be at least one other. Or am I finally that "On in a Million"? The "Black Belt-by-Internet Instructional Method" is all I've got going so far. Some face to face with another flyer or two would be helpful. Again. Any flyers on Okinawa? Mike
