  1. Congrats on the win! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  2. Ripstop repair tape. Only needs to be 1/2 inch wide but I'll put it the whole length. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  3. The rubber boots aren't to improve friction but more to act as a sacrificial material to protect the plastic end caps. I found some end caps that have a nylon bolt that threads in that has been working well. My "next" street sail I will put some tape along the Leading Edge. But it will have the full Barresi Treatment. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  4. Confession time. I know I said in the "JB International" thread if my number came up to redraw... I have considered this and changed my mind. I would like to keep it, if I win it, as I want to use some of my older kites as a "starter/loaner" sets. Been flying my B's a lot and now feel the difference going back to the 1.5 series. Still will spread the love, just a little more local. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  5. "Hot cakes!!!" Going like hot cakes! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  6. There's a "Spanish Knot" that allows a loop to be formed/knotted in the line so you can tie that off. Comes off easy when untied. There's a YouTube vid somewhere. If I find it, I'll link it. None of my SLKs need more than #200 line so I just put between 1/2 doz to a dozen wraps around a 'biner and clip to a dog stake. I have used a larkshead on the main line to a knot line around a tree but was a bit of a pain to pull the tension off to release it. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  7. If it's any consolation, I got some pretty good string burn from my first time on a Zero G. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  8. Massive congrats!!! Ohhh, sooooooo close with this one! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  9. Welcome Polo! I have a PoloVTD in a cool AF grey fade (3202 G1 from memory) and it is truly killer smooth even above 60 kays! Great guy. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  10. polo kites

But he speaks fluent "sweet as kite"... Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  11. I get the "there's no wind, how do you expect to fly that" when I take my Rev Indoor to the park.... Or "there's too much wind you'll just break it" at the other end of the scale. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  12. Scratching as we speak. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  13. My thoughts. I'm a big believer in this as an incredible opportunity for the "inters" to get involved. It will ultimately be their loss. I've been spruking to different clubs but have seen waining interest. If it turns to a kite raffle, and mine comes up, redraw. I love my B's but love it more when others experience the joy it get. If it gets canned, keep the cash mate. It's all good. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  14. Was practicing some stuff yesterday and thought of another thing. Give the "trick" time to happen. Don't rush it. Let the rotations/roll ups happen. Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
  15. My son, 8, wanted to say: "I have 1. A Blue and Grey Full sail that is like my dads red and grey one." Little fella is a gem! Sent from my iPhone using KiteLife mobile app
