"SV" mentioned to me awhile back about how hard it is to explain to people that "kiting" (like we do it) is a "Lifestyle". And I was trying to think of how to explain it to someone.

Then, that led my mind to think about Letterman’s “Top Ten” list and I was trying to come up with answers to this question:

What are the Top Ten signs that you are living a “Kiters Lifestyle”?
(I came up with a few, but of course there may be a lot more than ten.)

10..You only go shopping when it rains.

9..When you pay the bills you think about how many kites that money
could have bought.

8..You only mow the grass when a storm is approaching.

7..Everywhere you go you watch the movement of leaves, weeds and flags.

Those are some “signs” in my life….What’s in your life?!?! :kid_devlish:

EDIT:...When your doctor prescribes more kite flying instead of "meds"! heehee!

When you spend time on a kiting forum coming up with top ten lists to explain your "affliction" to others.

When you drive an hour each way to the coast 3 days in a row cause the winds are just too good to pass up on.

When the weather is perfect and the rest of your vacation party heads off to go on a 150 dollar helicopter flight my wife and I thought heck thats almost a rev between us and so we flew instead.

...another one/two came to mind:

When a friend asked, "How was your day?"...and you give them a weather report.

When your spouse or significant other asks, "How was your day?" and you answer, "Ultra Light 50#." or "Full-Vent 3 wrap."...and they know how your day went and your present mood.

When there's a kite shop in the garage.

When 3 issues of Kiting Magazine arrive in the mail.

When you're reaching into your pocket for change at the store, and pull out tail weights for your dual line kite.

When you sit down for dinner, only to find out you still have a stake in your back pocket.
