rexracer Posted June 12, 2013 Report Share Posted June 12, 2013 I also fly on 30'x90# when space is tight. I had a 20', 90# set that I flew in a river "canyon" last year. Gets pretty hyper when the wind picks up. I chopped them up to make a stack, though. Just made a couple of 50# sets (30' and 50') and I may re-make the 20' set in 50# LPG. I fly 30' so much, I have dedicated a kite and handles with the lines wound on the handles for rapid deployment. I'm always in search for new placce to play. John Barresi Posted June 19, 2013 Report Share Posted June 19, 2013 50# = nearly zero drag, a bit more stretch, tangles easier if you don't mind your lines. 90# = slightly more line drag, no stretch, less prone to tangling due to thickness of the line.
