Kite lights

Hi, next weekend I'm due to fly my kite(s) at night for the first time and wanted to make a lighting rig for my Premier 11ft Bat so that his eyes light up! I've bought some high intensity LEDs and can wield a soldering iron, I was wondering if anyone had any website I could look at for advice or could offer tips on the best batteries to use as I don't want something that's too heavy for the poor thing to lift! Any ideas

I made a light set for a duel line kite, it has 10 LED lights on it and it runs fine off a 9 volt battery, you can also use several AA batteries, but I like the simplicity of a 9 Volt and it doesn't weigh the kite down much. of course I'm only running 10 LED's so if you want more than that you may want to hook up a couple more batteries. the best place to attach the batteries is along the spine right about where the center of gravity is.

I use a 9 volt battery t o power my lights. I made them like little spotlights that clip onto the win spreaders and shine onto the sail.
