Ideal choice of equipment for this class is any model of Revolution 1.5 (includes EXP, SLE, B-Series, printed specials, etc) or similar "1.5 platform" models (like Phoenix, Freilein, Los Hermanos, etc) - we'll go through painless equipment set up, good tuning and all aspects of flight - the goal here is to demystify quad flying and set you up to win.

If you plan on trying out team flying, you'll need to also have a quality 120' set of lines in your bag.

Registration is $175 per person ($150 for KiteLife Subscribers) and includes full access to the clinic on both days (10a-4p)... Please note, there are ONLY 12 SPOTS left available and we expect them to fill up very quickly.

NOTE: We are unable to refund in the event of inclement weather, etc, but can provide full credit toward future KiteLife purchases.

If you're coming, we start the "Quad 101" portion of this class at 10AM SHARP on Saturday morning... It's jam packed with invaluable information and first time attendees are encouraged to consider attendance mandatory, countless details that add dimension to your set up and flight experience.

NOTE: We'll all meet at Flying Smiles Kites around 9am for a quick meet/greet, and to choose our flying site based on wind direction at the time.

If you are unable to make it by 9am, you can text or call me directly via 503-890-0280 to find out where everyone will be.

For anyone who needs equipment or parts while in town, you can get pretty much anything you need from the Cath and Eliot Shook at Flying Smiles Kites right there in Corolla, just a few minutes away from the field.

Hope to see you there!

I bet, because of the snow, flying on a warm sunny beach is looking pretty good right now.  There's liable to be a rush for those last four spots.

If you are on the fence about these clinics, it's amazing just flying with this guy. Getting instruction from him is just as enlightening.. And if you're not very careful, You'll have a ton of fun and skills you didn't know were possible..

(a few vids shot on site at Corolla Last year.)

Just under 2 months away.   Really excited to spend some time with JB and everyone.  Been flying alone way too much lately, could really use of some time with others that share the same kite affliction.

Kind of bum'd out that Scott can't make it, but I understand why.

Extremely Well Said.   We need someone to spend the week with us flying some Symphonies. The recent video has me pretty stoked. Make even me want to fly some team. Right now I know of four of the 2.2.4 owners and a total of 8 of the kites making the trip. (I'll have extras of course)

Can’t wait! Bringing kites to sell, Kites to fly, kites to learn a totally new thing and Kites for nighttime! So I am ready and tingling with anticipation in what I am going to learn this year! Got goals and a week to figure them out- “how sweet it is”!

USAkites Quad Flag - replacing with another Ash, Rev 1.5, rev XX, rev 1.5 full vent with JB upgrades and autograph. Tensor 4.2 almost new.

I want to order 4 symphony 2.2.4 for school program. I am also putting some funds away for new JB set when they come available too. Plus anything that catches my eye. Have you flown a Fulcrum yet? Love mine but can have some pull to it.

Does anyone know if they are making Skybond again?   I've called a few places in the last few months and everyone is out of bulk 50# and 100#.   I have a few line sets I need to make in both.

Join us for two full days of quad mega fly activity and instruction with John Barresi (Team KiteLife) and Scott Weider (Rev Riders) in Long Beach WA including shoulder to shoulder team maneuvers, overall team awareness and technique relevant to mega flies as well as 4x4 GRID FLYING if we’re able to gather at least 16 pilots (including our two instructors), this is a chance to really hone your skills for mega flies at upcoming events such as WSIKF.   There are 23 spaces available, allowing for as many as 25 total pilots including the two instructors to make a grid of 5x5!   We start at 10am on Saturday morning with general roundtable discussion and orientation about participating in and managing quad mega flies, moving very quickly into what should be nearly non-stop mega flying for two straight days (end at 4pm each day) and of course, there will be remedial assistance for pilots who need it.   NOTE: There will be opportunities to not only be part of these team exercises, but also to actually LEAD (with help and support) if you'd like to expand your skills even further.   Registration fee is $125 per person ($100 for KiteLife Subscribers) and includes TWO FULL DAYS.   Sign up link - http://kitelife.com/forum/store/product/79-quad-mega-fly-workshop-mar-24-25-2018/   RSVP'd:   Russ W Dominic W Jennilyn W @rykerev (Rick) @skline (Steve) @Gordon Sievers @handymanrae (Rae) Richard H Phyllis G ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Yes indeed, the "borrow JB for a Weekend" event is on again...

YOURS TO WIN: All-day access for THREE FULL DAYS to pick my brain, learn and play, solo or team, dual or quad, indoor or outdoor, water flying, urban kiting, dogstake, competition skills, you name it, hang out, name anything (legal and platonic) that we can fit into three days and I'd genuinely love to participate with you.

      TERMS:
I will quite literally be somebody's (or a group's) private instructor, kite bag boy, workshop presenter, team trainer or simple arm candy for all three days, the winner can share me around with other local fliers, your team, a club, or just keep the fun all to themselves. I will cover my own flight to meet with the winner at any major International airport in the Continental USA (using Star Alliance air miles) on a mutually agreed date (any season), but no sooner than 21 days after the drawing. Winner provides basic lodging (couch or floorspace is acceptable) and local transportation for duration of the agreed visit, as it relates to the airport (pick up / drop off), kite flying and sleeping arrangements. Entry into this drawing is $10 per ticket with no limit to the number you can buy, all ticket numbers will be issued to the buyer via email (no refunds). Drawing will be held when the 200th ticket is sold, using RANDOM.ORG's 3RD PARTY DRAW SERVICE.
Main terms apply to mainland US entrants only (takes lots more air miles to go abroad), unless a non-contiguous US or International (or Hawaii, Guam, overseas, etc) participant is willing to cover the airfare under the same terms otherwise. NOTE: If you are near the US border in Canada or Mexico, we can also arrange for the major US airport nearest to you and do a pick-up / ride-across arrangement from there as long as those local arrangements are made by the winner. IMPORTANT: There is a reserve of 200 tickets that must be sold to make this economical on my end (cost of travel and approximately 5 days away), the drawing may be extended if the reserve is not reached. By purchasing tickets, you acknowledge full understanding of all the terms above.
NOTE: Tickets can NOT be ordered via TapaTalk or the KiteLife App, please visit the link below using a web browser (mobile or desktop).
