  1. Hi Chris, Of those this is the first in that size. I hae a build a few that are smaller, just 4m. And yes, building kites is my business. Its just a small business. You can see a few close ups, on a different kite. here: http://www.gwtwforum.com/index.php?topic=12418.0 Of course construction technique depends on kite and material in question.
  2. Yes, since each kite is custom made, color choices are up to the buyer.
  3. Chris, Given the size of that thing, its on the expensiv side with 750,- euro, plus shipping to the US, which is not cheap either for a 2m long paket.
  4. Lifes, just a matter of ordering one if you want one. here a few more pictures:
  5. Hiyas, Wanted to show you folks my latest build, the Colibri XL. In flight on 150 foot lines: A Beautyshot: And for the curious, its wingspan is 22.3 foot Its not designed for tricks or dragging you around on the beach, its for craving the sky on long lines, 150 foot and up. It comes into its own at over 200 foot lines. Enjoy, Andre

  7. Hiyas Mike Mark, well, its time to get speedkiting going in the states, you guys are severly lagging in that sector. While one would think they are exactly your style, fast, powerfull and stuff.
  8. In that video it is flown on Liros DC40 lines at 150 feet length. Which are rated at 120lbs with spliced loop. totally over sized for the given wind And well, its not really moving yet, its staying in the air without trouble
  9. Hi, I cooked up something new, the dagger Speedkite. Designed for entry level speed flyers or just plain uncomplicated fun in higher winds. Wingspan is 185cm (73 inches). It flies from 3bft and up to 6bft and over. Framing is with 6mm Matrix carbon and 6mm Matrix lower spreader. Sail is made form Skytex 40 and 80 and 120g mylar. Flown here by a normal trick kite pilot that has its hands on it for the first time: https://vimeo.com/112628368 And thanks to the foggy weather here, I even have a bad picture
  10. Well, that depends. But in general, its to much wind when YOU get blown away by it. Everything else depends on the model of the kite you want to fly
  11. Hi Rob, You are right, tricks where of Zero concern to me when i designed the kite. I just wanted to go light because of the wind conditions we have a lot here and i'm to lazy to run all day over the field in minimal winds to fly If you ever manage the cash for it, i will be happy to build you one, as long as Avia makes the breeze 2 sticks Or Shyshark makes Zero Response golds again. I have no idea if it is the ultimate SUL, but most certainly it is the lightest one that is close under fullsize. Of course i had to try to top that and build a real fullsize kite that is even lighter, but that is so fragile its only useable indoors. but then at 1.67 ounces at 102 inches wingspan ... Sadly thanks to the custom made sticks, it is not only insanely light but also insanely expensive to make. Andre
  12. On the topic of ultra low wind flying, a little video of Heiko from Alphakites just enjoying the day with my Spectre XUL: And here we have Peter Maternus trying his hands on it to get to trick. Wind was pretty much, you need smoke to see were it came from, plus 40 degrees Celsius in te shade ... The Kite itself is called Spectre XUL, and has a wingspan of 98 inches with a weight of 2.8 ounces in the heavy standard version
  13. No to hard at least And yes, you can feel the air disturbances from people moving in the room with it. It is sorta cool and sorta spooky. Some more videos of it:
  14. Ounces of course, no idea where they went.
  15. From today's indoor meeting, A short video of my Wraith, the world lightest full size kite in flight. Wingspan 102.4 inch Weight 1.66846 ouncesEnjoy
