  1. Sorry, I should have said "re-launching" -- launching is easy enough... But when I or my trainee lands/crashes/rolls up into a random ball on the ground, is there any methodical process for getting it into a launchable position and re-launching. I noted that the cartwheel definitely does not work
  2. I bought a 1.8 HQ parafoil (http://www.ebay.com/itm/301334287281) to introduce friends and others to dual-line in an "unbreakable" way. Well it's pretty easy to fly except for the launching. Is there some trick to it? The best I can do is just randomly pull on this/that/the other until I get lucky and it gets some air. Cheers, John
  3. I made up some short (40') lines last night using Allen's sleeveless method. Because I thought it looked clever and because I don't have any sleeving. Worked great-- thanks Allen! John
  4. Snap stall. Side Slide. But recently it dawned on me that I should just learn to better "fly the stall" or "fly the slack" or whatever you might call it. E.g. "backing it down" to a landing, or just keeping it stalled/slack and right-side-up. There is a sort of "reversal of control" that seems to happen in the stalled mode that I haven't quite mastered, So I am spending a lot of time just doing that. (Premier Widow) Cheers, John
  5. Never mind, I read elsewhere the suggestion to use a figure eight knot. And then a second one next to it.
  6. Ok, thanks makatakam, what I was missing is that you're tying the figure eight in the line which is doubled to form the loop. And then just tying a second one, identically, next to it. Cheers, John
  7. I can't quite picture what you mean by this, could you (or someone) elaborate? Thanks! John
  8. Hi Allen, What kind of knot exactly do you use to create the loop in the end of your unsleeved flying line? Thanks, John
