Here you'll find information and abouts about any important
changes or updates we've made to the web site on the technical
side of things, which does not include addition of new content.

We're live ladies and gentlemen, the main Kitelife site is now live and online... We've only got issues 1-3 and 48-57 converted to the new site right now, but will be adding our latest (58-60) over the next several days, and converting all the others over the next couple of months. Thanks again to all for your patience and support, and for the help of our volunteer beta testers who worked hard to help us dial in this new site for a quick release.

The new web site is nearly complete in design and layout, with most of the front end pages converted already (main, library, about, contact, links, etc)... Thanks to the help of several volunteers from the Kitelife forum, we've beta-tested nearly everything and are nearing completion.
With 13 issues converted to the new format already, we're looking at adding the other 60+ issues and archives as time is available, once the new site goes live... With luck, we'll have the new design available to the public by the end of this weekend, roughly 48 hours from now.
First, we're finalizing a few details and are aiming to convert our latest three issues (58, 59 and 60) into the new format so we only need to convert past issues from here on out, producing new ones entirely in the new format. |

| Arriving in Japan on business, we'd begun the in-depth portion of completing our new site design and transferring content from our old site, converting it for the new format, making improvements in the layout and navigation along the way... In order to accomplish this from abroad, we've secured a 3G wireless data card and are working on the site from a friend's home. |

| We received a few reports of a virus infection on the Kitelife site in the beginning of April, but could not locate it or recreate the issue on our end... In the first week of May, we received in multiple reports of this virus via email and took the whole web site down within the following week (not including the forum which was quickly cleaned) and revamped our efforts on designing this new web site which we'd been developing since the middle of 2007. |

The last of our video, SKQ and Kite Lines archives is uploaded to the new downloads section of the Kitelife forum! Previously, we were maintaining two databases (and two logins for each member), which made for an inconvenient process altogether... Now, we're able to process subscriptions, forum administration, addition of new files and everything else directly through our Kitelife forums, a tremendous improvement overall. |
