  1. Several, at least... This video, all are multiple time students, and all three have done squad clinics with me before. And while all of that is true and good, it wasn’t actually a “squad clinic”, just a little team 101 introduction really.

  2. I'm an hour east of Colorado Springs. Teach me to fly my 1.5 Rev and you can fly my Widow Maker Pro. Only flyable precision kite I got is a TOTL Hawaiian. You can fly that too. Built for precision. I'm not sure if I'll be able to find a trick in it.Just got this one and it needs some work . Going to keep the one stock . This one I'll repair and re frame. Sails pretty rough. Thinking about venting for 30+ winds. Can I get a 45 here. 45,45, anyone 45 ? Frame can handle it but can I ? Sold my Widow ng to get a Widow Maker Pro. I think they're quite different. Look into the RTF Prism Zephyr. More slower and methodical than my other kites.Above 12 mph it'll get some zippy zip going though. Very easy and rewarding to fly. Like mine a lot.As I'm learning it's the kite I can follow the most. Flying Wings Soul blemished on Ebay for $130.00 could very well be what you're looking for right now. You'd have to get a line set though.Went on a 20 minute rant from here but deleted it. Ya'll are welcome .

  6. Two of my favorite flights from an excellent 4-person Squad Clinic weekend with @Sari Alexandra Becker, @Katrina and @Mark Giadone, this is all footage from the second day (much improved over the first)... We had even smoother and tighter flights after this was filmed but the camera wasn't running, you know how that goes. 100% freestyle, no routine, the pilots have no idea what is coming next - order of maneuvers is all off the top of my head. Second set starts at 4:54, FYI, less bodies in front in front of the camera.

  7. Where are you? Maybe we can guide you to someone who can help. Get out to some kite festivals and try other people's kites. That's the best way to find what suits you best. Don't be afraid to ask to try one of our kites. We don't bite and 99.9% of us will be happy to let you. Go to a brick and mortar kite shop and talk to the pilots you meet there. Ask questions here. There is no perfect kite. Only the ones that are right for you. You can only find the one for you by trying many.

  8. Every video of team flying I've watched the participants are having a blast. From newbie to pro. Some have made me laugh until teary eyed. Reason I got a quad.

  9. It's a really enjoyable, rewarding as well as a heck of a workout. Both mentally and physically. Really didn't think I could do it, but man I loved our session (myself, April, Eli and JB) Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using KiteLife mobile app

  10. This video is merciless in many ways: first the sun is behind the kites, then the wind is rather strong, the surroundings are dessert like, then the metal music in the background, the metallic voice and the high pace. This video contrasts the often slow precision when learning (like clockwork e.g.), but here it is like the challenged difficulty is the “high speed preciseness”. I find it surprising that this was no routine, but instead was driven by instructions given just before each manoeuvre. (The only experience I had in group flying was much more forgiving with pauses (hovers and brief landings) to synchronize) I have much difficulties in getting (hearing) the instructions and connect it to the manoeuvres and need to see the video several times it to make some of it to match. Knowing some of the figures (mostly in theory) makes it here and there possible to “reverse engineer” the (hearing of the) instructions, i.e. to figure out what must have been said (and then the audio suddenly makes obvious sense). Just to mimic this in thought and to immediately realize what should be done if you would be holding the handles is tricky (I guess this is the punishment for what I in my youth thought about square dance). Does the high wind high make the pace a natural choice, is it initially agreed on or is it following naturally from the skill of the participants? Still find the speed of instructions/manoeuvres very impressing. So little said and so much action initiated!

  11. I really like that too Khsidekick. Until this one the patterns to me are like a cyclops or a ripple effect. All very cool. This brings to mind a rising sun.

  12. So back to flying finally Hay season took over my life for a month and some extremely hot humid weather . Got the new leaders from TK and installed <got to say couldn't believe the poor workmanship on the Rev handles had to grind off sharp edges left from drilling holes in handles and smooth out the ends of the handles )put the new leaders on and converted the handles to no snag -should of said that first .Also got some 120 90# lines so thought Id try those out . The trees were waving back and forth , set up not to bad for new lines ,first screw up ,I always put white on top of handles then i put white on top of kite ,this only works if your launching with kite facing up ,but i launch with kite facing ground and handles staked at top leaders (just a Brain Fart ) Then i walked to the kite to change them around ,I know could of just changed them at handles (another brain fart). launched finally got my lines all straightened . The extra length in lines seemed to me to have a real effect on input reaction (less reaction to inputs ) was also adjusting leaders to find the right knots for me .Well not more than 10 min into flying and the wind drops to zero .The kites start falling to the ground couldn't back pedal quick enough to keep it up flat spin to the ground .Another 240 ft walk, a min later wind is back up ,lets try this again still adjusting leaders I'm not getting the response feeling back from the kite I had with the 85 ft lines, another wind drop to zero, another 240 ft walk .I would of switch to other lines but didn't bring them out with me .The third time enough packed it up had a beer . Is it common to feel less attached to the kite with 120s or do I just have to get the leaders adjusted properly ?

  13. From the album: Exult's Photos

Busy making use of the kites I brought to Sidmouth. Until today there has mostly been light winds, so my Prism 4D, HQ Shadow and B-series std with a Skyshark P90/2PT frame have been the most used kites. Not so today - B-series full vent with the 4 feather tubes. Had to take quite a few photos before managing to aim the camera and position the kite in the picture.

  14. This one really pops. I like it because adding successive venting doesn't interfere with color distribution.
