  1. Let’s see if I can answer all of that😅, current focus flic-flacs in the different clockwork orientations, which for me with the Djinn bridle they seem harder especially inverted (I like a challenge), clarity of shapes with rotations, always focusing on keeping that leading edge straight to direction of travel. Mainly I’m a solo flyer even more so with this COVID, things are easing slowly, so most of my inspiration comes from content on social media, SPI flying with team Kitelife in January made me more precise overnight not sure how. I revisit some of my old videos that’s all I can compare myself with. Then I have a few favourite videos probably top of that list is the Djinn release video, so much flight control in that video. As for kite models the only quads I fly are Djinns they are the ones that make my hairs stand on end. For me they make it feel new every time I go out. Difficulties yes those clam rolls🤬😳😅, JB has helped me out with those (and many other things🙏) I owe him a lot. New projects, I’d like to get back to some team flying, I’m missing the people I’ve met over the last 3-4years. And just getting out there and flying when something funky happens see if it can be replicated who knows what’s next, hungry with anticipation for the future.

  4. So with this nice video, what is your current focus? What barriers are you aiming at breaking through. From where (videos, people, kite models, text/posts) have you lately gotten now input? Have you had any “knots” (i.e. difficulties) that have been undone or any new insights lately? Any new projects (like a turn, style, trick etc…)? Sorry for my “kite personal” questions!

  5. The new Kaiju has certainly seen workouts outside, about eight hours over the month when winds were otherwise low. Not just me flying, I also handed it over to three others who struggled to fly those days. I sadly didn't get video, I've had both the red/black and blue/white up together, including today with a daughter. (Still keeping the green as an indoor only kite.) She was sad at first with the light wind and said she preferred quads, but after an hour she was more confident than ever. There were a few times the breeze would not support her kite the way she flew, but on 40 foot lines I had a blast. I have had spars pop out with breezes around 10 MPH and after hard landings, but so far everything is still intact. It seems far less fragile than it felt before.

  6. Hello everyone my name is Kite Girl and I am a new sport kite flier. I just started to fly stunt kites as of March of this year. My husband got me going on it as he is no stranger to stunt kites and even use to own a kite store in Oroville CA some time around 1995 until around 2003 He also some time around 1997 opened a second store in the Chico Mall. Anyway ... he had gotten back into flying kites recently with this Covid-19 social distancing thing started and encouraged me to give it a try. As soon as I tried I was hooked lol. I got my first kite Hydra and absolutely in love with it. Its addicting trying out new tricks and perfecting them as well as very therapeutic flying kites. I am sure you all will know what I mean when i say there are just no words to describe what an amazing feeling it is to be out flying your kite on a perfect day. So that is how I got started in this sport. A little bit more about me personaly is I am a mother of 3 amazing kids. 1 girl(12) and 2 boys ages 4 and 6. I have been married to my amazing husband almost 11 years and he is the love of my life and my absolute best friend. I look forward to being a part of this kite family and Im sure ill be on here asking many a questions as I learn new things. - Kite Girl

  7. Hi Bill, thanks for your message. Dunstable sounds good - an hour's drive isn't too bad. Are you still meeting every Sunday? Guess it's good to stay >2m apart when flying kites anyway Maybe I can bring some gloves and sanitiser if we are to share handles... Unfortunately I don't have facebook (and refuse to do so). Could you give me coordinates of the field here or in a PM please?

  9. Thanks John! I'm an avid flyer, although not too much kite experience. Most of my flying experience is RC, and I have a mix of fixed and rotary wing craft. Over the past 2 years I've also been flying gliders (actual, not RC!) and was close to getting my license before the C-word hit us. In terms of kites I have been flying a 2-line delta wing which is a lot of fun. It's quite old (although not much used) and marked as a "Pico" from Flexifoil International in Newmarket, although I couldn't find any information or photos on the internet (well, flexifoil are now a big corp but that model isn't on their website) - I'd be very curious if anyone knows about these! (I can post a photo if you want.) At this point I discovered the 4-line kites and really want to get into that... Still deciding which one to get first though. I'd like to meet people in my area (Cambridge UK) if there are any! Cheers --Thomas

  10. Hi there,I'm total newbie. I live in a pretty windy area and as I have been fascinated by flying (mostly free flight aircraft models) I thought I could get some of use of the wind, instead of complaining about it. I've been tinkering with flying a stunt kite for a while (flying kites is considered a child activity, mostly in autumn in my area - but who cares). I've been amazed be tricks that are possible with just two lines, and what is better relax in this overtechnologized age than a kite attached to your arms in a wind...no electronics, no internet... so I have bought Orao FYF 500 as my training kite, I have done first flights and I am learning the basics to control the beast.now, as I know from my other hobby - one kite wont be enough, and as my b-day is approaching fast, that rises a question - what kite to but next as a step up for somone who wants to get into a world of tricks an master them after I learn basic stuff? I see Benson kites are considered as one of the best - superfly or supernova? other options? lot of the links for kite making brands are dead already, it seems I'm late to the party. I was also playing with an idea of building one by myself (due to my nature of liking to make and build stuff), based on the open source plans, but as I don't own sewing machine and buying the materials would cost a fortune it's not very feasible option-but maybe one day, who knows, when I introduce my kid into the world of flying

  11. Hi All, Thank you for the invite. I am just a newbie to the Rev family but i love kiting my whole life! Since I wanted to learn a trick kite (quad) I have searched a lot on the internet and read quite a few forums. After this research I was convinced to buy a official revolution kite. I really love it! difficult but I am will master it someday. kind regards, Ruben

For Sale is an OSKUSA Exodus Full/Standard sail kite and an OSKUSA Exodus Max Vented kite. Both were bought in 3/2019 from Ocean Shores Kites. This is the newest version of these kites; check the logo placement on the top RH side of the sails. These kites have A-Holes instead of mesh on the leading edge. They also have Center T's on the leading edge to hold the vertical spars. Both kites have Crystal T2 frames, come with a canvas bag, and include an extra endcap with bungee. The two kites are in excellent/great condition. Asking $275 for both, but am willing to sell them individually for $145 each. PayPal payment only. I will provide free shipping. Will sell to USA only. Please message me with any questions or additional photos. THX!

  13. Thank you! So as an introduction - I grew up flying single lines in my backyard. My brother got a cool stunt kite that was HUGE (maybe 5' wide, but it was huge to me at the time), but of course I couldn't touch it (being only 7 years old). I've always loved kites but never really got out again until a couple years ago. I got used Skydog SDT 2.8 quad-line. I'm pretty much a beginner, but holy smokes that kite is a BLAST! I get some pretty turbulent wind here so I ended up selling it. I just recently got a steal of a deal on a colorwave stunt for $3, an old Prism Nexus for $20 and an old Prism Mirage for $20. Both Prisms are in need of some minor repair - sail tensioners and cut lines. So here I am now getting back into flying! These stunt kites have been a lot easier to put up here, but I will some day get that foil back when I have time to travel away from the house to fly. My kids are loving my fascination with kites and want to get into it themselves as well. So here I am, in Northern Utah, actually looking for a small amount of leader (don't need a full spool), so if anyone has a yard or two they'd be willing to part with, let me know!
