Have you seen the new Heli-Carbon© spars?

Helium impregnated graphite, literally as light as air.

After googled, are you referring to helicopter ...

... (couldn't find it) or like an actually a rod for fishing pole or a rod for kites ?

Very interesting ... got more information about it ? and also is this already happened on a bicycle ?

  2. exactly ... weight less and then you just pull very slowly and painfully graceful  (laughing)

just don't make it float like a balloon ... just enough to make it gliding and stay off the ground

over 30 years ago I used to do BMX (bicycle stunt, brutal ... I quit shortly afterward) ... I wonder how can I make this bike lighter ... fill the tubes with helium ... fly higher like E.T. boy did .. (LAUGHING !!!)

AIR ... there is a resistance ... therefore, still controllable ... helium rod kite against air

  3. if the knot is at with 10 feet from the kite or handle ... why not cut that 10 feet off ? ... You got yourself a new set of lines

I had a fray (at 20 feet from handle/kite) on one of my 80 feet lines ... so now I have 2 set of lines (like 20 feet and 50 feet lines)

p.s. this is for my Rev B

  4. probably yeah too much of a gray area

and I have purchased Blast 2-4 in here before, after I asked JB to see if the seller is legit to be safe.

direct link should be easier to find it immediately as long as seller's reputation is excellent and a well-know seller, too.

that is correct to leave it to JB to make the decision

  5. I lost my count how many times I have watch that video ... at least 10 times ... that is one of the best quality and best viewing video of a dual line stunt kite ... no fish-eye len, no go pro, no earthquaking, no zoom in and out ... very pleasant to watch

... just simple and elegant ...

    Well-Done !!!

p.s. it would be nice to know what camcorder did he used with.

  6. now that got me interesting what you wrote ... thanks for the useful tip

I am gonna do the nose leading toward to me trick ... because flying it normal as is in light wind makes me somewhat a huge battle on the handles position to keep the kite steady-ier.

isn't it the same thing to adjusting the lines at top/bottom handles ?

    if not, then explain, please

oh, by the way, i finally catch my Thunder ( rev b ) after yank the top lines and throw it back to air flying again 5 times in a row, after like 50 yank tries today ... it's required how much yank to make the kite nose forward just right ... approx 22 ft lines

Just my two cents... But like I try to tell the "old judges", it's not our show any more - it belongs to the folks who still show up to participate in it - whatever helps them grow is good by me, but burnout from the traditional format has been glaringly high for many years now with a nearly continuous (although gradual) shrinkage of competition for 10+ years now.

that reminds me of and sounds like Rodney Mullen (link) ... the last 2 paragraphs

Most common and practical adjustment is simple "nose back" or "nose forward", i.e. moving the bridle point up (light wind) or down (solid wind) in small increments... Just make sure you have a good mark to indicate the original position. ;)

Did you have this one on video ?

The spirit of the Karma Drawings is to pay the good feelings forward. Not everyone will go in every draw. Just what appeals to them.

It's not up to me to say "yes" or "no". If you enter, if you win you have to put up the next drawing. There are some great prizes coming up. Coloured sleeving is a new one. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Thank you and glad you like it

You don't have to put up a kite.  Go back through the list of previous drawings.  We've had many prizes that were merely kiting related.  Buffs, linesets, stakes, etc.  All that's asked is that your prize be somehow related to flying kites.

Interesting ... will this works ?

what about 5 sets of 4 colored sleeves (no lines) ?

(dark blue, light blue, dark green, light green)

    left side top and bottom

    right side top and bottom

if YES ... then I am "IN"
