  1. Bridle test was very encouraging. Looking forward to really putting this kite through its paces.
  2. Edge Binding and Framing remain. LE is Red and Edge Binding and remaining trim will be red. Learned a ton about offsets for this kite. I let the diamonds pattern take over both horizontally and vertically. The natural skew from the overlap makes the kite appear tilted. 72" Kite has around 170 panels. Whew!!
  3. Feeling a bit quarantined and wanted a kite to represent how it feels..
  4. I've only purchased tails from Gomberg but the company as a whole has a very positive reputation among kite enthusiasts in general.
  5. Also part of Gomberg is https://www.gkites.com/store/
  6. The Old Standard for 1.5 frames was a center double male with outer spars that were interchangeable with the vertical spars. The B2 used a double female middle spar with single male outer spars. In this particular case, I think it is entirely up to you. I'd suggest the double male approach to give you the interchangability with other frame sets. I would suggest using epoxy or similar glue as super glue can get brittle, release and present you with the same issue again.
  7. I did successfully throw launch one of my Symphony 2.2.4's once at Jockeys Ridge. Winds were OBX strong and I just tossed it straight up. Even had witnesses. Wind in my neighborhood is notorious for the swirl. My usual spots are just not available right now.
  8. very swirling winds (note the kite on the ground flipping back in the first segment.) but a few seconds of usable flight time.

6 Yards of Plum on the way!!!
  19. That is also a valid point.. Perhaps set the drawing date out a month to mitigate the risks??? Personally I'll now open boxes outside and only bring the contents in. The boxes will go straight to the refuse..
  20. @DTill @John Barresi @bbailey49 I was thinking the same. Thoughts??
  21. @John Barresi Only after you choose my number
  22. A bit of flight video. Very light breeze barely enough to keep it airborne.
