  1. @happysuperbutton Well what makes the Shook unique is every one is unique,, No two are alike. If you are into meshes, Cath and Eliot really pioneered that arena for quad line kites. Designed for beach winds. If you have High and gusty winds and want that stability, this is your choice.. The Phoenix is very aptly named as it rose from the ashes and also has the hand of a master in every stitch..It shows what Bazzer can do without Rev defining every design aspect. The best of the bunch here (IMO) is the Ashes. And for the Djinn, without saying too much, what makes it special is, it IS very close to the vision for quadline @John Barresi had over 10 years ago. Add his new Sync bridles and you open up a few possibilities for maneuvers that have never been typical with the competitors. (especially those that require a bit of slack line) If you want Venting options and some wicked slack line capability, this is your first choice. (FWIW, I'm in this line too.)
  2. Bag is done..This kite is ready for testing and traveling..
  3. Bridled and framed.. Quick Bridle test for balance..
  4. From the album: Riffclown's Homemades

First Bridle test.. Shortlines, almost zero winds.. Hopefully a proper first flight when wind cooperates..
  5. Great solution.. repeatable and sturdier than original.
  6. I've decide to go with Red Edge binding, Red LE Sleeve and possible a few special Red Accents.. More to come..

    Don't you love Snow Days??
  8. Don't you just love snow days??.. Panel stitching is done.. Time to finish planning the center panel and get this to final dimensions..
  9. Second panel is matched (pretty much ) and basted.. Time to configure the center section and start sewing.. It's not quite as detailed as the original concept but overall I'm optimistic..
  10. OK first panel is basted.. This was more ambitious than I thought.. Long straight lines are not as easy as you would think..The darker fabric is ripstop poly, the royal blue is ripstop nylon. As with all my projects this is another research into what's possible.
  11. I've heard P100 recommended more than once.
  12. So it's time to start planning out my next build.. This one is going to incorporate my lessons learned from all the other builds.. Drawing is concept only and is not to scale or true to aspect ratio.. I've got the major fabric panels ready to start.. just waiting for a few more supplies to arrive in the mail before I can truly start up the piecework.. Naming it "Midnight Taboo" since I'm mixing Poly and Nylon on this one..Should be fun..
  13. A few seconds of short line activity just to show the design.. No real breeze and the air around my place just swirls..
  14. and a quick shot of it in the air..
  15. From the album: Riffclown's Homemades

Just wanted to get a shot of the kite in the air..
  16. Isn't it a great feeling??
  17. Actually a bit more extensive than that. It really is a unique approach.. You'll see..
  18. There are a few of us thinking this way..
