  1. I've got copies of the Wind Cheater and the XITR sport kites on the way! Pretty excited!
  2. Results are in! The winner is @jeepinjeepin! Congratulations Josh! Message me your mailing address and I'll get your new Quantum on the way. Looking forward to seeing what's up for grabs next!
  3. Thanks for the suggestions. Posted on both sites and emailed Goodwinds. I found a few posts on Kitebuilder from people that had built the Wind Cheater, all from 10-15 years ago, so I sent them PMs. Fingers crossed.
  4. This is a long shot, but I'm looking for the plans for the Wind Cheater, a dual line kite from Goodwinds Kites produced back in the 90's. I bought the pattern and all of the supplies to build the kite from Gasworks Park Kite Shop in Seattle about 22 years ago and never finished it. I still have the nylon and fiberglass and would love to build the kite, but I've lost the pattern. Thought I would check here and see if anyone might have a copy or know where I might come across one. Here's one of their kite patterns in case this will help jog some memories...Same packaging but a small sport kite instead of a diamond.
  5. Wow! That’s a beauty! I can’t wait to fly it. Thanks again!
  6. Hey all! Up for grabs is a Prism Quantum. It’s Prism’s most popular sport kite, so I probably don’t need to say too much about it. This was my first quality sport kite and I recently got it in my head that it would be cool to stack a few of them. I got a couple more on Craigslist but just a two stack scared the crap out of me the first time I tried it! I’m giving one away so I don’t kill myself and I’ll look for something smaller to stack. This one has some dirt on it, but no holes and in good condition overall. To enter, reply here with "I'm in." Numbers will be assigned in order of entry, and the Random Number Generator will choose a number. Good luck. IN so far: @LookuPLars @jeepinjeepin @dragonfish @SurfCityVortices @T in WI Drawing on July 30th! == Some rules and guidelines: Don’t play unless you’re willing to put up a prize and ship it to whoever wins. Shipping is paid by the original poster, the winner pays nothing. Be prepared to ship your prize anywhere in the lower 48 US States. Sorry, but due to shipping costs, we really have to limit this to the lower 48 US States. RULE CHANGE (7/31/2014): Members from Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii are welcome to enter the Karma drawings provided they are willing to pay half of the Karma prize shipping cost. The method and timing of the payment will be agreed upon between the two parties after the drawing for a particular prize. You can choose the length of the giveaway, but keep it between 1 and 2 weeks. Try to ship the prize promptly. You should be able to ship it within a week, but if you can’t, PM the winner and let them know. Sometimes life gets in the way! This whole thing works on the honor system so if there are any problems shipping or receiving a prize, it needs to be worked out between the two parties. Don’t forget…Karma! This isn’t a competition, but feel free to be generous! If you can only put up a hat, or a tail for a stunt kite, great! If you have something in your kite bag that you never fly and would be willing to ship, that’s great too. Either way, the people that join to win it will appreciate it. When you receive your prize, post a thank you to the thread where you won it. The thread will be locked after that point so the new **KARMA** stays above it. 7. Wow, this is awesome! Thanks for all the congrats and thanks, John, for offering up such a cool kite!
  8. Wow, that's the warmest welcome I've ever gotten online! Thank you!
