  1. Scooter

    Wind forecast

Hi from St Petersburg, I use the wind finder app basic but can select several locations and choose what is best for wind direction. With all theese guys you have to figure out where they measure the wind. Caus none of them measure at ground level. So may say blowing at 15 mph but just a mild breeze on the ground
  2. I had a kite that was similar to this one I had to adjust the bridal to get it to stay up. So there are several methods of doing this but generally you take the bridals and make sure everything is exactly the same length. If kite keeps going right look at right side closely and tie small knots to adjust length this is a starting point.there are some pretty good vids on YouTube. Just search dual line bridal adjustment. Also the kite I had really didn't like to fly in light wind. One day I took it when the wind was blowing about 15 to 20 flew great . But remember it will pull pretty hard in those conditions. So if you only weigh 90 lbs you might want to reconsider. Here is a picture of the one I had. Hope this helps
  3. Great karma wow! Blown away. I wish I could join the group.,. 😁 Such a cool looking kite plus it's pretty low wind ....
  4. Well good luck on the journey.. but remember to look back every thing looks different from the other side of the mirror.

  12. Ok yawll after much deliberation I am going to present this months Karma drawing. Unlike most of you I just recently got back into kiting so yes this karma is not going to be huge but I am so willing to give back I am giving away Half of my kite bag they will be a single line 4 meter octopus and a 2.5 meter dual line parafoil rainbow color. a kite stake, 3 sandbags, and a line winder. I hope there is something for everyone in this batch. Oh the reason for May 23 that's my birthday so a perfect day to give back. Also might give a bit more time for people to get involved. Good luck to all. Better and more images to follow. Some rules and guidelines: Don’t play unless you’re willing to put up a prize and ship it to whoever wins. Shipping is paid by the original poster, the winner pays nothing. Be prepared to ship your prize anywhere in the lower 48 US States. Sorry, but due to shipping costs, we really have to limit this to the lower 48 US States. RULE CHANGE (7/31/2014): Members from Canada, Alaska, and Hawaii are welcome to enter the Karma drawings provided they are willing to pay half of the Karma prize shipping cost. The method and timing of the payment will be agreed upon between the two parties after the drawing for a particular prize. You can choose the length of the giveaway, but keep it between 1 and 2 weeks. Try to ship the prize promptly. You should be able to ship it within a week, but if you can’t, PM the winner and let them know. Sometimes life gets in the way! This whole thing works on the honor system so if there are any problems shipping or receiving a prize, it needs to be worked out between the two parties. Don’t forget…Karma! This isn’t a competition, but feel free to be generous! If you can only put up a hat, or a tail for a stunt kite, great! If you have something in your kite bag that you never fly and would be willing to ship, that’s great too. Either way, the people that join to win it will appreciate it. When you receive your prize, post a thank you to the thread where you won it. The thread will be locked after that point so the new **KARMA** stays above it. Good luck, and have fun!
  13. I keep mine ready to fly also but that being said I had a cheap Delta that rode in the car for two years when the time was right to bring it out it desinagrated but have not had a problem with anything a bit better made lol. Ya know $5 2 yrs of Florida heat ... U do the math
  14. Thank you so much. Now instead of 4 lonely kites in my bag they will some company. I am truly blown away by your generosity. I guess it's my turn. I'll post something in a few days once I figure out something cool. Thanks Again.
