  1. But apart from the price. The current EXP also all have the Reflex technology (with this spring). That makes no sense (except the price).

Buy rather a USED, original Rev 1.5, because you can get it for a reasonable price. You don't have to upgrade it but SUPPLEMENT it with another model for a different wind range (for example STD, MV, XT). Then you have a complete set.

Also, from the current available Revolution kites I assume you would recommend the Reflex RX, right? Or is the NYM the better choice?

RX: But that is the same! Please watch the YouTube video of Joe Hadzicki explaining the differences between the different Rev models. I don't understand the difference :(

  3. Worldwide and over 300 EUR free.

I just had talked to Pedro yesterday. Great customer service !! I know only one other manufacturer who was so customer friendly and helpful when ordering: Some guy named @John Barresi

The Detox has a good reputation for craftsmanship and flies very precisely.

  4. I just sold my Reflex XX yesterday. I am not sad about it.

I agree with Paul. Above all points 2 and 3 were a reason for me to sell.

Besides, I can't do anything with the reflex stuff. I don't see/feel any difference if the springs are on or off.

I stick to the 1.5 form. And if you want to have something bigger, a Detox (esste.com), which has a size between a Rev I and 1.5, would be an interesting and high quality (!) choice.

By the way, Los Hermanos has just had a sale. Just ask Pedro (facebook.com/loshermanos).

  6. Wow... these subtleties are difficult to understand / translate in a foreign language.

The key to "whump" is the flexed shape of the kite... Whump sets and holds a particular shape and line tension (the same that you are desiring) immediately, as opposed to "ramping up" speed from a simple top line pull until the kite shapes itself.

If this explanation is still valid in this simple form, then I understand the concept of "whump" :-)

Here's another video. You can see the lesser amount of overall intensity to match the mood of the music. Whump is what turns kite from toy to art.

Great video. Great location. btw: The colors are an announcement for the upcoming Djinn Cool Fade, or :-)

  8. Revolution Reflex XX green/black

The Rev is in a very good condition (see photos) and 4 months old. Since I changed to 1.5 after his purchase, he was hardly in the air at the end. You can see that. Rods converted to Aurel 300/.006 for cost reasons. Two original Revolution vertical rods with the springs (and the leading edge with inner sleeves) are included.

    With original Rev Carbon Handles.

Sales and shipping within the EU preferred. Shipping costs within Germany: included! Shipping costs within the EU: 50% is paid by the buyer.

  9. Do you know Spiderkites from Germany? The Smithi kills nobody but flies a bit like a Rev. https://shop.spiderkites.com/Smithi-11-PS-Ventex_1

I have one in custom colors and the new sail "P-30 Denier". "Ventex" is no longer available.

  10. I got a Rev 1.5 from the wife and I am confused what kind of Rev it is. I find conflicting information on the web.

It was the last Rev 1.5 WITHOUT reflex, which could be found in a webshop in Germany, UK and Netherlands (please correct me if I am wrong!). I bought it blind without any picture and details :-)

The Rev comes with "3 Feathers Ultra Light" rods and a second frame set "2 Feathers Professional Use". The weight is 240 g/8.46 oz.

    It is
    - a REGULAR 1.5? But then why is there a second set of rods named "SUL"?
    - a SUL? The frame set says "SUL" on it. But didn't the SUL have a much lower weight of about 180 g/6 oz?
    - a SLE? The color layout lime/black indicates this (Google image search). But then the imprint "SLE" should be on the sail, right?

    Can you help?
