  1. Thanks everyone! Here is a link to the pictures I took last Saturday and a few the Tom McAlister sent me. We hope to have another nice day this weekend. Berkeley Kite wranglers
  2. Doug. I hope that worked, I have to thank my good friend Duncan for the link to the picture since I can't get mine to work. Here is my Cat, looks like he is on the attack.
  3. We had a great day at Berkeley yesterday winds where 8 to 10 and steady. Wish I could be there today.
  4. John, I don’t know what happened to your post about the Octopile at Berkeley, but you had asked if anyone knew if that was a record. At Berkeley Dave Gomberg, Said he had never seen that many octopi together before. When Peter Lynn was in Sacramento he was amazed with the pictures of the Octopile, he also had never so many octopi together before. As well traveled as Dave and Peter are, on their authority I would say yes. The Octoplie is a trademark for the Berkeley Kite Wranglers. We fly at the Berkeley marina most weekends and typically fly 4 large octopi and some smaller ones together, right at the edge of the bay. We split the bridles so they don’t move around much, so we can fly them nice and close. We also like to pack in other large kites at Berkeley on a good day you may see the Octopile, 2 Large Manta Rays, 2 Large Bears, 2 Large Cats, a Trilobite, a Lobster and other small and medium Peter Lynn kites. We look forward to another great show at the Berkeley Kite Festival this year. Last year we had as many as 19 Large Peter Lynn kites up at one time. Dave Gomberg called it the largest gathering of giant Peter Lynn kites in North America. So if you have a large Peter Lynn kite Berkeley is the place to be. Hope to see you there. Mike North.
