Hi, this is my first post to the forum. I have to order off the internet for any kites I buy. I live in the southern part of Iowa in about the middle of the state east and west, and there are no kite fliers or kite stores in this area. Even in our state capital, Des Moines, there are no kite stores. If there were a kite store near my home, I would definitely support it. Like someone already mentioned, just having parts and service available are worth a lot. I always try to support the local businesses. I would be willing to pay more to help keep someone in business. Since I have to order on line to get kites or accessories, I try to use places that are close to me. One place that I found on the net just this year is Midwestkites.com. They have been very reliable for me. I have never ordered from any kite store on the internet over the years that has not been prompt and efficient. Wish we had retailer here in this area, but I'm glad I have had good experiences with all my orders. I have been reading lots of the different subjects on this forum and have learned some interesting things. I do enjoy flying the dual-line kites. The single line fighters are fun too.
