We park on the beach if it's packed enough, or use the lot if not!! Usually just to the left if you were to follow the road out to the water! There's a wind break we use as a base of operations, unless really wet out!
Wayne, I see the big wooden wind breaks are parked up on the side of Sid Snyder, just east of the Restrooms. The good news...I see a big grader out there this morning, grading the approach road

Thanks for dinner John and TK!

Awesome, thanks Theresa!
Blue please.
Blue is packed!

Since you are here in the NW, I'd suggest calling Theresa at The Kite Shoppe about what she knows!! Has her fingers plugged into just about anything kiting up here!
Thanks Wayne!

I've found many places that sell tubing, but I haven't been able to find anywhere that has a selection of the other hardware (fittings, connectors) in various sizes. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm especially interested in stunt kite hardware and dihedral fittings in various sizes and angles.
Thanks!
Yes, have parts and fiitings! http://www.thekiteshoppe.com/categories/Kite-Parts-and-Supplies/
If you don't see what you need on the web site, call me, as I don't always have a page made for everything! (someday)
We will be on the beach thru August 26th, so next shipping date is Aug 28th. OR...come to Long Beach, WA and find me at WSIKF...as I always carry parts for emergency repairs on the beach.

YEAH BABY!!!
If it's coming from The Kite Shoppe (unsent), they can also relay it to me at WSIKF.
Yes! Packed for WSIKF! See you at LB on Sunday John. I'll put it in your condo when I get the key cards for you and the team.

Tedlar and string on its way to you!

WOW! That was incredible! I wish there had been more people on the Riverwalk. I can only imagine how stunned they would be to see this on the river.
Too cool. Well done guys!

Want to see some handles?
If you haven't seen this video composite from Terry Wiggill of Island Quad yet, take a look at all the happy flyers with close-ups of handles and leaders. Enjoy!

Would the Tedlar tape be available locally? Where can you get it, and is that the actual name? Maybe a fabric store?

Yes, that is it's actual trademark/registered name.

If this is the set I'm thinking of, then it went through quite a weekend.
And Wayne bought a new set.
Wayne, come on over whenever, and we'll string out a piece of 120 LPG...

Your next question might be 'What weight?'
We generally recommend LPG 90# Gold as the standard.

If you're planning on flying in winds over 20mph, I'd recommend LPG 150#

OK, Next question(s). What is Tedlar tape and where do I get it. And has anyone used the superglue method? I could do that with available supplies. Thanks.
Hi!
The super glue method works great on SMALL holes, that are NOT in a stress point on the sail.
And it doesn't hurt to go ahead and try a repair with the super glue. If it looks like it didn't join the edges good, then go with the tape.
