I'm thinking about making a rotor kite, I saw. Although I Have a page (http://www.cit.gu.edu.au/~anthony/kites/rotor/), and there are somewhat vague plans, I really can't find any specific ones. Right now my main problem would be looking for a material to make the rim out of.

I think it's called a rotor/ufo kite, but there are no plans similar to those pics anywhere! Could someone help me out? Thanks

Could someone help me out with a High School kite project? We need to design and build a kite, marks will be awarded to the longest flying, largest volume, and highest flying, I believe. I really know nothing about kites, so if someone could suggest a cool design that would work well, that would be great. We need to build it ourselves, using our own material, but we don't want to make something incredibly basic (we're seniors). By looking at this site there are tons of kite designs, but I don't know how each one works. Sorry if this is on the wrong forum. Any good websites or resources would help aswell. Thanks BTW: We want to make something cool, that will be different than the standard kites most kids will be making.
