  1. I have a pair of Rev 1.5s that are looking for a new home.  They are  in almost new condition. 1 is the std with the ultralight spars, and a set of race rods is included. The other is the vented version with the "strong" spars.  They come with the factory handles and LP 90# x 120' lines from The Kite Shoppe. They are red, white and blue.  Prefer not to separate.  Thanks,  Ken  $350.00 for the pair including shipping.

  2. I like how the prize I won not only benefited me, but also another kitelife member.

So in keeping that idea, this will also benefit another kitelife member whose products I buy.

It is a new 16oz frosted glass mug from Leshockarts. ( i got one for myself also)

I love thedesign and have one of the t-shirts.

The drawing will be Saturday 6/14

As always, your post must include " I'm in".

Here is a link to the design http://www.zazzle.com/kiting_world_mug-168233128475543737

Yes, and I would like to think that the extra karma helped, Thanks,

    Ken

So in the order that people entered.

    #1) bbailey49

    #2) juststuff

    #3) amexpmh

    #4) tkrinor

    - This drawing will be done using the RNG method with entry number determined by order of entry.

    Standard Karma Note:

This is a Karma Drawing. The winner of the drawing is expected to “pay it forward” by offering their own prize for the next drawing. Please do not enter unless you are willing to offer your own prize, preferably not the prize you just won. Drawings should be open for entry approximately 2 weeks, and the next drawing should be posted as soon as possible to keep the Karma rolling.
These drawings are run by and for KiteLife members. The moderating team only ensures that your drawing post contains all of the pertinent information (drawing date/time, adequate prize description, drawing rules) before approval. If you are a KiteLife member, and you reside in the lower 48 states of the US, you are eligible to enter. You do not have to be a paid subscriber.

Here is the link to the original Rules and Guidelines thread:
    http://kitelife.com/forum/topic/5426-rules-and-guidelines-please-read/

The mechanism for the drawing itself is entirely at the discretion of the person offering the prize. In the past, entry number has been determined either by order of entry or by the post number in which the member declares “I’m in” to the drawing. The drawings have been performed using the RNG method (
http://www.random.org/sequences/) or by choosing the numbers out of a hat (I believe an adorable daughter did the picking in that scenario). The only requirement is that the method of selection is clearly spelled out in the drawing post.

Entry into the drawings is done by STARTING a post in the drawing thread with “I’m in”. In order to remove any confusion or misinterpretation, only entries with posts that START with “I’m in” will be considered. As with all other KiteLife drawings, bantering is encouraged. This is for fun after all.

  3. Holy Cr-p. I mean, Oh my goodness. :w00t:

I have been wanting a B series for such a long.

I am looking so forward to getting this baby up in the air.

This last month or so have been very hectic, so I have not been online much to watch the progress of this drawing.

Thanks John. ( I'll pm you with my cell # so we can make arrangements for me to get out your way and pick it up.)

    Thanks everyone for the congrats.

  4. I had my subscription lapse for most of may.

I did not get the email due to Kitelife having my old outdated email. (thanks to the Verizon to Frontier merger. ;):) )

Anyways, does my # change? :confused!:

My old # never won me anything.

And I could use a vented B2 to go with my standard RevII. :)

  5. One of the things you can do to help with your rankings is to clean up the code a bit. Just on the main Kitelife.com/index page I noticed over 60 validation errors and that is with HTML 4.01 transitional which is usually much more tolerant of coding issues than XHTML Strict. Most of these errors is due to the wrong doctype being used or mixed tag commands. Using coding for multiple doctypes can cause unwelcome results or issues. Minor issue really but I have found that errors in the markup code will adversely effect your rankings. These errors could also cause your pages to not view properly or take longer to load. I assume that many of these errors are compounded from previous ones - this is usually the case.

Also as just a suggestion seeing as you are looking into redoing the whole site, I would move the Google analytics code from your HEAD and place it right before the closing BODY tag. This can also cause your page to take longer to load as it starts the analytics tracking first before the page loads. By moving it to the end of your page it will do the tracking last after the page has already loaded.

I would also move more items to your CSS page and clean up the HTML pages more. Moving to a table-less layout might also make it much easier to manage / edit all of your pages.

Just a couple things I noticed from quickly looking at the main page, if you need more info then please let me know and I would be more than happy to help.

I fully understand the task you have placed in front of you. Myself being in somewhat a similar situation. Lucky enough I only have about 2000 pages that i needed to move and most of those have already been done.....but there is always something new that comes along and then you get to do it all over again....

As always, I hope this helps.

    Huh? :confused!: :confused!:

I liked the way it was, but whatever makes it easier for you JB. Though sometimes when going to the forum I wished it did not open up a new/ second page.

  6. That will be a great kite. I have always been a fan of r,w,& b kites.

12 metre kite, whoa thats good sized.

Your time lapse video was really nice. Was the camera on a track? Ever put that image of Lois on a kite?

For the 4 years of my AKA membership there has always been a page dedicated to it in the kitelines magazine.

It has always been fun reading. I have been wanting to try buggying, but the funds and time just never come together.

But finally, how much will the raffle tickets be, and how do those of us who can not attend get one?

    Thanks, Ken

  7. So I am browsing an older version of kitelines from about 20 years ago( downloaded from here of corse) when I read a article from David Gomberg about attending a clothing optional kite fly on Suavie Island. ;)

He said he keep his clothes on. Yea, right. ;) Just taking a fun and cheap shot Dave.

Now if it were JB.............., what do you all think?
