  1. So I have been back into kiting after a "15 year hiatus" and have some useful info I would like to share. I came up with the ideas just recently and would like to get your thoughts and opinions on them. First, I made a line set and wanted to be consistent when I pre-stretched the lines. So... I went out and got a 50lb fish scale at Walmart for $5.00. This thing worked great to see what kind of load I was putting on each line. I would highly recommend this. Here is a picture: Second, to manage knots on line sets I was thinking of using shrink tube to cover up the knots and prevent snags.... I know if anyone tries this they will need to be extremely careful when shrinking the tubing so they don't compromise their line with the heat. Also, if you need to adjust your lines the tubing will come off easy. here is a picture:

    Inverted hover

Thanks for the tip Watty I will be sure to work on finessing the kite rather that letting my testoserone take over. Thanks for the link John!
  3. Hey Folks, So i've been trying to practice hovering inverted but keep getting different results. On occasion I can get the kite to hover really well. However most of the time it seems like the kite has a mind of its own and rocks back and forth like its on pendulum. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

    Vented Rev B

Thanks for the input everyone!!! I broke down and got a standard Rev B. I was talking with ken at A wind of Change and decided that having both Kites would be a good thing... I Just got back from flying the B vented in some stiff wind and what a blast I had. I got the concept of hovering a spin maneuvers but darn invert hovering is testing my patience.

    Vented Rev B

Hey Folks, I recently purchased a Vented Rev B and am having difficulty getting good flying time with it due to lighter winds. I was contemplating on purchasing some Race Rods, but am also thinking about just getting a Non-Vented Rev B. What would be the better choice??? FYI I live in Las Vegas..... Thanks for your help , Sean
