Some time back I mentioned that the Little Dreamer by Skydog was on my list as my next kite. Well, no longer. I got the Little Dreamer in the colors that match my Dream On. I have the train lines and intend to fly them as a stack. Hopefully in the near future, I'll have pictures to show.
Just have to kick this miserable summer cold and have good winds. But I am definitely not going to the beach on July 4th. It is entirely too crazy here with vacationers. It's not so much crowding at the beach as the traffic to get there.
OMG!!!!!!!!!
I've reloaded the page and checked the drawing results three times. I still don't believe it. I guess not doing any banter is the way to go with the RNG.
Thank you so much.
Just picked up a new Peter Powell diamond stunt kite. It is a dream. I had forgotten how well and easy the Peter Powell stunt diamonds flew. I'm in love again.
Congratulations, Steve! Enjoy it!!
As for Mother's Day, my present starts tomorrow. We're going to the Outer Banks for a few days of laziness, kite flying and just generally playing tourist in a casual way.
I've been thinking about this kite. And since the drawing is on Mother's Day, it should go to a kite-flier mother. So let's narrow the available numbers down to the mothers and then have the drawing. A good idea, right?
My husband has a white ghost delta. Looks great in the sky. We are asked to fly it every year at the Easter sunrise service on the beach. The pastor calls it the holy ghost. We also put up several white banners at the service site.
I was looking at a Skydog Little Dreamer to train with my Dream On. And also considering a Kites Unlimited Custom Vented Rev. Well, the Easter bunny delivered the vented Rev this morning. Signed and numbered. I like it that both my Kites Unlimited Custom Revs are #3s. Happy coincidence.
I would recommend a delta easy-flier single line for the 5 year old. They have lots of kid-friendly pictures and almost self-launch. Don't get them from Wally World or K-Mart or a beach store. Those cheaper models don't always fly well. A kite store or online will have a ready-to-fly delta for about $25 to $30 and it will last years.
A smaller foil is a good idea for the 7 year old. He/she would probably become bored with a single line kite. Also a foil doesn't have spars to break when they crash. You will get your exercise re-launching but that's half the fun.
Welcome to the forum. And have fun.
I was just looking at my kite collection. I have a STD, mid-vent and a full-vent already. And I have several one of a kind Revs. None of them get flown as much as they should. I will pass on this drawing. If my number happens to come up, please go on to the next number.
I have a full bag and I am happy.
Thanks.
Sent you the measurements off my stack. We had to leave town right after the festival so I just got a chance to measure the spars.
I store my stacks in a bag specially shaped for the hypers. Haven't seen any at the kite shop for a while so I'm not sure they're still available.
