  1. Hey John, sent you some $$$ for the video equipment. Now to the video you have recorded -- When I have taken video at the beach I always have wind noise. There is a setting in my camera that says it will minimize the wind but it works poorly. Do you have a way to attach a mic to your Mac & do a voice over to replace the audio currently on your video? It seems it would be very much like adding music behind your kite flying. Windows Movie Maker lets me turn down the volume on what recorded with the video so I can lay another track with the music I want behind the kite flying. Good luck with finding a way to use the video you already have.
  2. Hey Guru, I've read about how to splice kite lines to remove a frayed spot or connect two different sizes of line together. I've never tried it on kite lines but have on braided fishing line. Con Engels at Windstar Kites has a page to show how. Here's the link - http://windstarkites.com/FlyLine-No_Knot_Splicing.htm If the above link doesn't work go to windstarkites dot com and search for no knot splice. This might give you something to do when the weather isn't cooperating. Good luck & have fun, Ray.
  3. It's great watching you two do things together & walking off the field holding hands. From an old married guy to a rookie -- When you stop holding hands & doing things together it's over, you just haven't admitted it yet. Here's to the rest of your lives having fun and enjoying each others company.
  4. Thanks, I will look them up. A week from tomorrow I'm meeting a friend from Utah for a week of flying along the N. Oregon coast. We both have dual line kites we struggle with flying alone. I want to fly his Rev II & he wants to try my Rev 1, B standard & vented. I'm looking forward to a great time even if we have to help each other get the duals off the beach. I suspect most flying will be the Revs.
  5. John, I've found my biggest challenge with my Firecracker two line kite I bought a few years ago is that I need a field crew to fly. When it hits the ground someone has to right it & help me get it in the air again. I've seen guys at kite fests that have kites they can get off the ground by themselves. How does the Level One Jump rate in that respect? Could I fly it by myself the way I can a Rev?
  6. Walt, you are so lucky!! I was sure they would draw # 67 but -- Congratulations. Maybe I'll at least see them at WSIKF in August.
