So did you get your kite yet? What do you think about the Jump? Hi. I still don't have a kite... I have more important issues to solve now But I'm still a little undecided. One of forum members recomended me a Premier Addiction. So...I'll see. But - sadly - i have now different things to do than fly a kite:( I understand totally! Whatever kite you get I would like to hear about it. We need more kite reviews around here. Good luck, hope you can get one soon.

Yeah I really like the prices of the the Focus kites. Anyway I am just now finding these handmade kites so far I have looked at Focus, and Blue Moon.

Kent I just may do that, one day when I get my high end kite.... probably not to long the way I am heading. Anyway I would love a Gemini or a deep space. I am seriously looking at a Focus Jinx or another Focus kite also. One kite at a time though... one kite at a time. haha

So I have yet another question anyone ever flown the X-treme by Level One? I was looking at the Jump but I found the X-treme for 10$ more. It is bigger than the Jump, apparently the X-treme is a smaller version of the Genesis. This all sounds perfect, great wind range...Level One quality.... humm I think I might have found my kite.

I know, its not going to happen. I basically want a high end kite for mid range price. (don't we all) Is there a Benson kite distributor in the US?

Yeah if someone can please point me in the direction of a Icarex, full size kite in the 150ish range that would be great haha.

So far I just set the kite on its back, walked back to my kite, slowly pulled the kite so it is... standing up? Anyway than a little tug and up it goes Everyone seems to have different ways of doing it on here. Maybe I need to come up with my own unique take off

There is was an Elixir on ebay I think it when for about 80$. Anyway I live in Riverton, I am in the south side of the valley by Sandy, Draper, South Jordan area. Anyway Saltair would be a great place to fly! I will have to check that out one day. I finally found a Utah kite forum tonight, it is REALLY slow though. I should be in Vegas in September but yeah if you are ever down my way let me know . Also the Widow is about the only Kite I am still considering a little other than the Jump, but from what I have read the Jump is made from better material than all other kites in my price range.

Ok.... this forum is kind of slow..... Anyway my dad had a lot of fun flying my power kite and he ordered the Beetle. We just got back from flying the beetle in about 20 mile wind. What a blast! My brother is interested in getting a kite now. I think Utah has 3 new kite fliers . After some advice from the master JB I think I am going to get the Level One Jump. I think I will take my dads beetle out a few more times before I order the Jump though. By the way I think I am going to post pics of my flight area. I am a little spoiled here, we have a "utah flight park" where hangliders, RC planes, etc. fly. It is at the top of a hill on the point of a mountain and has 20ish mile per our wind all the time. When the wind is faster than that I can always fly at the park by my house. Either way I am 15 min from good wind 2/47 365.

Speaking of trickability of kites, anyone besides J.B. flown the Jump?

Anyone familiar with the prism Elixir?? How would this kite be compared to more current kites? It is a pretty sweet looking kite, oh and would getting parts for it be a problem? Anyway just curious about this kite, thanks everyone!

Nice!! I just got back from the park flying my power kite. It isn't very responsive and I can't wait to get my widow. Unless I change my mind again haha. That DVD does make me think though, glad to hear there is something out there I can get to help me out. I will have to check into getting it if I decide to opt for a non prism kite. You should get a video up for us to see

Yeah I am leaning towards the green widow =) then maybe upgrade to the widow maker one day

I just had to go and read this thread didn't I...... now the cheaper kites just don't sound as cool.
