  1. A Jammin' from Skydog would fit that bill but I did notice it wasn't on your list. Pretty sure a Crossfire is a earlier model than the Jammin' but both are not "new" models.

Have a look in the classifieds for someone selling a higher spec kite but second hand. Some definite bargains to be had. Or. Even post a wanted ad in there.

Second hand can be great to learn on as you will be less concerned about keeping it crispy new. Allowing you to concentrate more on the sequence you are working on.

    Have fun.

  2. How did you go?

Here in Australia it is internal diameter for measurements for water pipe and "class" rating for the pressure it can stand. Eg, 15mm class 18 gives an internal bore of 15mm (0.6 inches) at 1800kPa (261psi) pressure. Higher pressure gives a thicker wall.

At 6 foot you could even use a fishing pole. It even has loops for attachment on it. Rod holders are freely available too.

  3. Yes I do fly with quite a bit of brake but same handle set on a Vented Rev and the Polo, the Polo just sits deeper in the inverted position. I've even swapped out the bridles to compare and it still rings true. In fact, the Polo will fly in lower wind on the same frame than the Rev. These days I just use my Djinn full sail and go straight up to the Polo without any Mids inbetween. Just an interesting observation.

  4. I have noticed that my VTD Polo is far more "comfortable" when flying inverted. It sits quite stable and nice in a upright hover but put it on its back and it is sooo much more stable than any of my Revs.

Purely an observation. Anybody else experience this?

  5. Flew a 4D on 20's once and thought it was alright. Good bit of kit. I found it a little twitchy with any more than a puff of wind. Not uncontrolled but bordering a little unstable. I had the chance to buy one second hand at a great price but never wanted to.

I HAVE a Kaiju and much prefer the style. I do prefer 7-10 feet lines but have used up to 30's. It doesn't ever feel unstable like the 4D did to me. It is a real gas to fly and never fails to do what I want it to do. Bought it new from the Kite Forge release and keep it in the "everywhere" bag.
