  1. Personally, I like dual lines for long tails as they are always moving forward. I have both a 9ft parafoil and 6.75ft stunt kite that I put tails on and both are quite enjoyable. Here's a video of the slightly larger version of my parafoil.
  2. I have an E3. It's possible to adjust the standoffs and bridle for higher winds- check the manual. I think 25mph is about the upper limit for this kite though. If you're always going to be flying in high wind, you might want to consider getting a vented kite like these: http://www.imperialkites.com/Product-Pages/Silver-Fox-2.5-VT-Stunt-Kite.html http://www.imperialkites.com/Product-Pages/SOUL-VT-Stunt-Kite.html You can land by flying sideways to the edge of the wind window. The kite will eventually stall- give it some line and it will land. A smaller kite will most likely be faster and harder to control if you're a beginner. My 2 cents.
  3. I've found many places that sell tubing, but I haven't been able to find anywhere that has a selection of the other hardware (fittings, connectors) in various sizes. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm especially interested in stunt kite hardware and dihedral fittings in various sizes and angles. Thanks!
  4. I'm interested in flying indoors, but unsure of what equipment I would need. Besides the line length, are there any differences in the frame or sail of an indoor Rev vs. an outdoor Rev. I also just recently got a Swift from ITW. It's rated from 1-12mph - is it something I could use indoors? I tried it outside on a very low wind day and had trouble getting it off the ground, so I'm wondering if it was the kite or me. Thanks!
  5. I got this one and although I don't use it much, I still think it's nice to have.
  6. Is there a particular needle size/type that I should get, and are there different sizes of thread? Thanks for the help!
  7. Is there a paticular kind of thread I should use for making kites? Thanks!
  8. This isn't an actual picture of MY kite, just one like it. I have made sure the lines are not tangled.
  9. Hey everyone, I have the box kite below, and it's pulling badly to the left and almost tipping over on it's side. It has a three line bridle that I noticed was a bit off-center, so I shortened the right bridle line to make them even. This didn't seem to have any effect, so I shortened it even further and the kite still just wants to tip over on it's left side and fly sideways. It's so bad I can see the line going to the kite being pushed by the wind into an arc. Can anyone help me out? Thanks! David
