  2. I have only flown the Standards. My experience was as described by John. A flutter throughout the window that was not "tunable". The only time flutter could be controlled ... was flying at way slower speeds than should be capable of the sail. Which....if flying team...you are done...or stuck buzzing everywhere. I do know that is how Rev pushes them....as the "smoothest" flying sail. Not so...for me atleast.
  3. Wow! I feel lucky! I just walk outside....
  4. Love seeing the saying still alive
  5. Oh wait......darn "WHAT" ? I guess I am sort of "employed" now and not eligible.

  10. I need some new threads...might as well say KiteLife on it right? Would have ordered more but need to get my gear in order for a busy season... guys like Diamonds too!
  11. 2 long sleeve shirts and a sweat shirt headed my way The 50% was a good selling point for the wife..
  12. Guess I should add that I have a B style leader set up on my power kite handles also. I do not like the stock set up..
  13. Yes... a custom set up. You can fly handles with just a strop line and no pulley. With the pulley it allows smoother steering and less wear and tear to the strop line. Also the ability to clear twist in the lines easier.
  14. Pull up a chair....Welcome! "Insert Lamasters picture, sitting in chair flying while having a conversation"......just couldn't find it
  15. So what was bad about Rev Power kites? I personally have a PB2/4. As described with the Shockwave...it is a different flavor and style over the 1.5 and variation sized kites. I find it quite fun. The 2/4 has some grunt and capable of scudding, landboarding and buggy play. Also the 4/8... SHBKF can comment on that one. I am 6' 220lbs. The 2/4 can give me a really good workout in single digits and power grows as the wind does. Yet they still hold that 4 line feeling for me..more so over a 4 line foil. I have a friend that runs stacked Blast. He uses it for buggy and digs it.
  16. I am leaning towards the smaller versions. Crazy Fly has a nice one also and is the lightest on the market from what I understand. John..... does your Liquid Force have support all the way up in the back or is it soft?
  17. I do not use soft kites. I use framed kites. A Genki,Delta and a Delta Conyne on 160# hollow core dacron line. All kites are 8'/10' wingspan. To be quite honest.. the genki variant is the best for me. The other 2 kites provide too much lift. I do not have my rig on hand for a pic at the moment. Basically a modified brooxes beak kap rig. 1 single constant rotating servo. Find some photos later. The gopro is light.... even on the rig.It will not take alot to lift it. You are correct about cams fitting in waterproof cases after lens swap. I vary rarely use mine in the case. I use the naked frame. Ya...it will be ruined if it hits the water...but have become confident in my abilities of judging the wind or quick recovery.
