  1. When all else fails...Just whump it... it's not just a word..it's a lifestyle. Hmmm, WhumpLife sticker? I like the definition idea.
  2. Considering these were my first completed 360s ..literally #1 #2 and so on..I figured it might be a good example..not technique but the 2 positions discussed. Most people are not going to match pr come close to JBs video. .and with all the movement. ...sort of hard to get the picture IMHO for someone trying to pick up on
  3. A slide would be your sail loosing pressure and or traveling more parallel to the ground. You are shedding air off one direction or the other of the sail to make it go a different direction other than forward or reverse. You want the kite vertical with the leading edge left or right ...90 degrees to the ground (or close) and standing straight ...parallel to you. Then the pace you commit to and keep..keeps pressure or air in the sail. Instead of slipping off the sail in a slide. I am still a rookie at these. But here is a recent go at it..not on a power blast. You can see some good and some bad... edit:didnt see johns video....but he is on his toes committed to a steady pace. Of course he is doing alot of stuff..all those movements are losses of pressure in the sail ..one way or another. If he was just flying forward, his pace would probably be much tamer and slower due to constant pressure.
  4. They are available to my knowledge.. People besides Rev have them already. I didn't really see anything that special about the kite other than the venting. Panel layout is sort of similar for some reason... Even then..it's a blend with the new venting? Just an addition to Rev... I.e. been done already..
  5. Demos in T.i. but they had so much drive in them..they were flutter monsters. Can't give a real opinion on how they fly due to that. As far as comparing to B Pros....hmmmm ... interesting in deed!
  6. Here is a back..be sure to zoom in..sort of hard too see
  7. I tend to try the 5 to 10 minute a session thing.. usually turns into longer I work on 2 major things at a time until the basics are acheived. Right now my kick is 360s and up and overs...along with 4 line tension, like at the top of the window..sort of an indoor method I would presume... and power/speed kites for sure. Then it is like John describes...free fly...but now you have 5 cards in your hand instead of 3.
  8. No fear my friend. Mine was in front of Mr.B himself.. running like crazy, everything in my pockets making all kinds of racket. With his kite none the less...lol It just takes some practice and you will have a smooth pace with a full sail
  9. I am moving towards the cross handle hand positioning you showed us in Destin. Just really getting started with this new dynamic... alot of practice in T.I. has made a HUGE difference in my flying.
  10. Done ...Capital ammendment at top of original post. Ty sir I am going to throw a couple in also
  11. Lol..pretty much the same here..sliding the whole time. I get some reverse..but learned quick about loops, bounces, whump, and other stuff that can save alot of footwork too. Using the momentum off of those actions to create pressure in the sail or cover ground to get around in "dead zones"
  12. I don't know if Jacksonville would be as accomadating as the Destin area was.. but the time we had can be had anywhere. Just a good group of people having fun.
  13. It easier when its dead. Otherwise you have to counteract the wind on one half of the spin.... walking and casual is becoming more the norm for me....but still no reverse...just here and there
  14. All these "pro" kite flyers..biding for a loley production B. Just save the key strokes... we all know it's coming too (i have no pros )me! Really ...let's work something out?
  15. John will have to decide on this..only 2 entries in the previous run and it expired. I personally had several ideas..but excluded myself.. I thought a larger participation was going to happen.
  16. Hey Jason... Captain Bob is going to Fort Walton fest. Told him to hook up with Eckfc...
  17. The mall and airport are places that have designated smoking areas! Thanks for the consideration anywhere else though... I'll never complain about it at your house, or anywhere outdoors, or publicly indoors in the right environment. ...but I am not smoking. I am vaping. Some airports do not. You must exit completely and re enter..customs...etc.etc. I sat inside Tampa International recently and vaped away next to a smoking area..inside. Granted...Hoards of people were not in my area or in my vicinity what so ever. But there are no laws against it and I recieved no complaints or reprimands. Common sense type issue. That is hard to find sometimes...I admit.
  18. Oooooooo.... it is purple! I did price a suite of grey fades though
  19. I have to agree with the responsible adult analogy. Same with other smokable items... I don't vape in restaurants and places with tight quarters. But say a mall ..or some place public ...airport! I would if I felt the urge
  20. Ummm....purple. Definitely headed my way! skimming again.....I will still take it!
  21. Too each their own.... personally prefer vaping over smoking. But I am a smoker.. everyone has a view...and each view is unique unto its own. That's what makes life interesting! After 6 months or so...I smoked 2 packs in T.I.. I was too lazy to go find a vape shop and I wanted too.. by the end of the weekend I was hacking loogeys again... None of this with vaping..and any flavor your mind can think of.
  22. He represents well too...never had a problem finding my kite
