  1. I think you're asking for trouble!!!
  2. GOOD NEWS! Took untangled kite out today and had a great time. Mental note - never put a slight tangle away and forget about it Dont know about losing from waist, but have super toned arms.....
  3. Four hours and counting....... How can they get in such a tangle!!! Nearly there now... * sighs *
  4. Had a frustrating time at beach today. Got kite out, with interested onlookers as nobody flys a rev here. Have been winding lines attached to bridle on handles, which has always worked fine. Forgot that last time I flew the lines got in a real mess and I was going to sort them out at home (only a week ago...!) Perfect day, quiet beach, sunshine, good steady breeze... and then a crows nest.... Spent 40 mins trying to untangle them there, and in end had to pack up and go home without a moment in the air.... Having a break from the huge mess I have now, as lines got even more messed up in the wind.... Oh well, there is always tomorrow
  5. I am a newbie too, but just to answer the first question, several months ago I bought an EXP. It is a fab kite and I learnt loads on it...BUT I am now going to buy the SLR, so I would definately recomend that one first, if you have the extra dosh. Mind you, I am now hooked, and I'm also getting the SUL, and am looking with envious eyes at the vented, and the blast looks fun too....
  6. Many thanks for the info on light winding flying. A great article. Took my EXP out yesterday and had much mre success. (no crashes!!) Still falls out of the sky, but am able to fly it again by doing more on its side. Still want the SUL though.....
  7. I am happy to learn on the EXP, but I cant launch it at low wind speeds. Leads to much running and proping kite back up before I pack away.... Any tips?
  8. I have really enjoyed flying my EXP for a few months, but am now thinking of the next thing..... I am considering the SUL as winds can be light here in the summer, but am still at the stage of crashing my kite... Is it forgiving? Do you have to be experienced? - should I wait for the winter...... (sob) Just how easy is it to fly in calmish weather? Is the 1 or 1.5 MUCH better than the EXP?
