  1. BTW John, I took my Focus Kite Designs - Hydra out the other day. Man that kite backspins so easy and beautifully. No wonder you enjoyed flying it last year when we were together. Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using KiteLife mobile app
  2. I really like my UL as well. It's not as refined as the AC SUL, however it's a fantastic value. I like to practice yo-yo tricks with it. It's turtle is so deep it will easily flip into a yo-yo with slack lines. Just throw your hands out and wait for the kite to flip around the lines and take up the slack. No real setup moves needed like most kites Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using KiteLife mobile app
  3. If you'd like to try a Lam kind of kite and don't want to spend as much money as an AC SUL. Try the Silver Fox Second Generation SUL by Flying Wings. Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using KiteLife mobile app
  4. Yes Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using KiteLife mobile app
  5. Turtle is the kite on it's back and nose away from the flier. A deep turtle means it sits with the nose angled more towards the ground and is difficult to get out of without a rotation maneuver of some type
  6. I recently purchased this De Tomaso Superleggera from Thomas Horvath. It's not considered a fighter kite, however it can have some of those qualities. Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using KiteLife mobile app
  7. It maybe the first one in the US, I had not asked Bernd. Conversations between us were a tad hard because I know zero German and his English wasn't the best. I flown it a couple of times indoors and outdoors. It's really a tad too big for my indoor space. You or anyone else that wishes to fly it are more than welcome to when we're together. It's very agile for it's size
  8. Thanks RobB, I purchased the VP new back in the 90s
  9. I have never flown a Pro Dancer, so not sure what I'm missing out on. Here's my Vanishing Point and last year I also picked up a used AirZero PBSK
  10. For zero wind dual line flying I have a Peter Betancourt - Vanishing Point. It's not a trick kite, but tricking in no wind isn't for me (unless it's indoor) I need a slight breeze at least
  11. I'm happy with my AC SUL. I can't compare it to a lot of the SULs the are around today, since I haven't flown many. I also find 80' lines to be the best length in general. If I had to select one line set to take anywhere with me, it would be 80' 90# lines.
  12. I glad you enjoyed the video Breezin. I enjoyed making it. If you're not planning to fly indoors, I'd stay away from the VII. It's a better indoor kite than outdoor in my opinion. The larger one seems more like what you might be looking for Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using KiteLife mobile app
  13. Ditto! You must be a natural Breezin, still struggling to do some of the tricks you've advanced to. I'm going to have to ask Lam about a new bridle for my AC SUL and whether or not there are weights in my wing tips. I don't remember him telling me there were any when I purchased it. The VIP II is a very nice indoor kite. It'll take some getting used to for outdoor flights and tricks. It's small and uses light inputs. Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using KiteLife mobile app
  14. I don't have picture at the moment, however if your familiar with the fulcrum, it's closer to that with the cross spar lower and not at the top like the speed series
  15. It's a quad line kite that's made in Germany. It's made to fly both indoors and outdoors. Here's a video of it indoors
  16. I good with either John. Unfortunately some of the core people in the group aren't able to commit yet. Should we start a thread to see what interest there is? I'm not the greatest coordinator. It feels a lot like herding cats to me lol Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using KiteLife mobile app
  17. We'll have to schedule around someone else's birthday then Lol Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using KiteLife mobile app
  18. What are the thoughts of a Spring Corolla 2019 gathering. Anyone want to start a new post? Sent from my Moto G (5S) Plus using KiteLife mobile app
  19. Thank you, my first dual line project. Really pleased with how it came out!
  20. Cool John, I'd suggest just park it and flying in front of it. You might also have the ability to select a pre-determined flight path with your drone. So you can make it move between points you've set and just fly in front of those points. Edit: I found what I was referring to for DJI. The feature is called Waypoints
