Flew a Zero G today and my iFlight as well. I will get a picture up later.

Is that the Sahara? :-) one thing I've learned at KP is that Westies love their team flying. 80% of revs up at KP were in formations. Fantastic to watch.

Come on! You are talking about people crazy enough to spend $300-$600 on a kite. And we buy more and more kites. What's $100 for the official kite flier's hat? Lmao.
I used to think one of my many ball caps was fine, but I do love my Tilley. I'm packing it for the trip across country to KP.

Lmao. What where they smoking at that manufacturer? :-)

My only glider is an iFlight non vented. But why not, I'll try to fly it everyday. Even take it on road trips. Probably hotel room flying. :-)

40 degrees you don't really need a coat. Lol. I "wimped" out in KC with 12mph because it was 18 deg. I could stand the cold but traveling on business I didn't have a hat. Needed my Tilley and would have been goof to go. :-)

I thought Tilleys were required attire for flying kites. Some have the flap in the back for blocking sun/wind from your neck and ears. I have started using the buff as well.

CB I think any dealer will honor the certificate. But you can order directly. I like the knowledge and support from my stores so I try to buy from them.

Make it down to Kite Party. I'll bring mine and I'm sure Ben will be there to explain his kite.

I think the NYM is different from either of those. Ben is doing his own thing.

I have line sets with both LPG and Skybond. The skybond slips better and a LPG is stiffer and does not stretch.

I think that JB pointed out one of the most common places where you get twists. When you finish winding do you let go of the ends before you secure them? And when you unwind do you let those ends dangle a bit before you secure them? In just a moment they will twirl around and add the twists.
You may be doing everything else correctly but in those brief moments allow several twists to get into your set up.

Two ideas. 1) hide your camera in a old clunky VHS camera with some duct tape on it. No one wants to steal that. 2) sign at the camera "Notice the .45 on my hip. I know how to use it!" Of course #2 may not be politically correct in your area. :-)

Or actually to keep it on the ground when you do bring it down until you can get to it.

What is the good trick for bringing the kite down when you're finished.

Woot! Flying at last. My first flight with the symphony 2.2 amazed me at the speed. Nothing but fun.

You just do what you do. Us mere mortals practice to try to do some of what you do.

Shenkman's video is still great even though he did it 15 years ago. JB and some of you other pros may find it out of date, but I figure until you can master that control and those moves you can learn from his video. I know it really helped me. I still love watching him play with people. The control is amazing.

Here is the iFlight in action at Kite Party. Sorry it turns it sideways. You have to look hard for that white kite.
