  1. Well, I had a great day of flying at the beach this afternoon. The winds were cooperative, and I got in some good flying sessions. I was having a bit of fun with an over enthusiastic Labrador by playing "catch me if you can", and well... he did. I was dive stopping, hovering and reverse launching just out of the dog's reach. Our antics became entertainment for a quickly growing audience for about 15 minutes. I got a bit overconfident, flew too far to the edge of the wind window and I was not able launch fast enough. "Rocky" proceeded put a hole in my favorite Rev 1.5 SLE, and the show came to an close with a surprise ending that I did not foresee. The damage was minimal, and now I have a 3 x 3 inch "L" shaped rip in my sail. The rip is clean, and I read that Tedlar tape is good for repairing kite sails. The kite flew fine for the rest of the afternoon, even with the hole in it! I was hoping to gather some insight on what the best sail repair techniques would be for a Rev 1.5 with a minor battle scar. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks! Leo
  2. Not exactly "logo" material, but here's another product of insomnia...

  4. Another idea... "May the wind be always at your back" Leo
  5. Just an idea... Brainstorming a few other ideas. Thanks! Leo
  6. Thanks for the info REVflyer. I hope to see some better wind conditions, to try out my first mini dual stack this weekend. Your advice on reinforcing the leading edge interests me, and I was wondering if you had a good resource for spars that would fit inside to strengthen standard leading ege spars for EXP's.
  7. Thank you for the extensive info. This is a tremendous help, and I think I have little homework to do this weekend. Perhaps, I'll have a mini stack in the air this Labor day? Thanks again Dorsal. Leo
  8. Thanks to Dorsal for the information. I checked out kitebuilder.com and found some links on bridle boards/jigs, but all of the links I was interested in were dead producing 404 errors, and timing out. Any other resources online that you can put me on the path to? Your help is greatly appreciated.
  9. Please excuse my blatant lack of knowledge, as I have just recently become addicted to Revolution Kites. I have already collected three Rev's, and I would like to experiment with a mini stack of dual EXP's. I have absolutely no knowledge of how to approach stacking Rev's, and I was hoping to ask the experts on how to do this properly. - Are stacking lines available for purchase, or do these line need to be fabricated by the individual flyer? - What other considerations should be included in stacking Rev's (stronger lines, longer lines, etc)? - Do certain Rev's perform better in a stacked configuration? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks from a newbie. *I apologize for being pesky, as I posted this on the RevKites.com Forum as well...
