  1. I need some advice on my next purchase. I've flown Stunt kites for a couple of years, just basic casual flying, ( spins, squares, Figure 8's , landing in wing tips), no real tricks just basic flying. It's been a few years since I have flown as I have moved to Asia a few years ago and now want to get back to flying. Difficult to find a kite shop here, but I found one that has the Flying Wings Insync. I have read the info about the specs on the site. Looks like it was released in 2008 or 2009. I like to do research before I buy anything, but a search on the Internet & YouTube have not found a single review of this kite. This is a mystery to me. If anyone can help me with any info on this interesting and good looking kite, I would be glad to hear it. The only thing I could find was a video clip of an experienced pilot flying it . I am looking for a well build kite that flies well ,and capable of flying in light winds as the winds here are not strong. Not looking for an UL. Maybe in the future if I have time I will start learning tricks, but right now I just want a good solid flier for casual flying. I will attach a few photos of the Insync.. Thanks in advance. . Specs Wingspan: 235cm Frame: 6mm carbon + Dynamic 15 wrapped carbon tube Sail: .75 oz.Ripstop Nylon Weight: 12oz. Flying line: 85ft x 150lb Dyneema with flying straps included.

  4. Well folks... Thought I should post somewhere other than introduction area.. Someone suggested I should buy a beetle just to see if I might enjoy 2 line kites. It came in the mail and I quickly opened the box as soon as I got home from work. I assembled and disassembled the kite a couple times measured the bridle to make sure everything was factory trued. Saturday I stretched the twisted wrap lines that came with the kite and cut them to equal length. Sunday I went out and put the thing in the air! Winds were off and on but still surprised myself that I kept it up as much as I did... Never managed a upright landing on the edge of the window. Almost could do a slide... Lines felt pretty spongy.... Not as fast as I expected but still fun! Put a couple single lines up for the wife for a while and just had a pretty good time in general... Two lines are fun but I plan on dedicating myself to the rev kites when I get them... Already working 10 hour days and it looks like the engineering department wants more and more so might be going to 12 hour days 😖 👎 Not cool at all... Day job is sucking the life out of me... Till then I'll keep watching JB videos and reading all the tips and tricks from you fine folks here on Kitelife. One of these days I will snap some picks of the kites were flying. Wife picks some pretty colorful stuff! Thanks as always to you folks who have taken the time to post experiences, help and suggestions helping the archive to grow. Seen some new member introductions..... Pretty cool stuff here... Good evening...
  5. Hello Everyone, I and my son are learning to fly more than one stunts at a time. The stunts we have are for strong winds, with heavy pull making it difficult to fly kite with each hand and do tricks. http://kitelife.com/forum/gallery/image/5334-/ Can any one suggest good light wind, highly responsive and strong dual line kite that we can use for team flying too. thanks in advance

  7. Hello from Spain! After years enjoying visiting this forum I would like to present myself. I live in Spain and I fly dual and quad line kites, also the Urban ninja single line. I´m always trying to learn to improve my skills and Kitelife helps me a lot. Thank you very much for your work!!! Recently I have bought a wonderful Kymera kite from kiteparts.net. I have only fly the kite once and I like it a lot .... but I´m not sure about the tension of the sail. I would like to know if is it normal or not that the sail is so loose after the assembly. Here I show some little videos of my kite where you can see the sail after the assembly of the kite following the John Barresi tutorial. Vídeo0002.movVídeo0004.mov Thank you very very much!!! Regards Cristina
