  1. I keep breaking my Kymera. Need a lower spreader (non-ferruled) and a standoff. Is there a "parts list" somewhere or what's the best way to figure out what I need? I'm trying to avoid calling a kite shop every time I need something and just order it on my own. The standoff mount broke, so I need both the standoff mounting piece and the mini-standoff-spar but don't know the sizes. As a follow up question, I didn't crash the poor thing, maybe I'm pulling too hard on launch or something? I'm not accustomed to these higher end kites so maybe I'm just a bit too hard on them?
  2. Mars 2018, ITW Kymera 25m lines One, lately a bit rare , pre-work session on a piece wise slippery field. This morning offered a sun dog scenery along with a faint halo. My current DLK main focus is to get the flic flac going/start/getting a tiny bit reliable. Considering that the FAs are not 100% it is actually more than one thing that is being practiced in parallel. Sometimes even one rung of a JL just happens to come out of it (typically if the light pop when flared was uneven and you happen to end up in a turtle). It is kind of a continuation of last springs "tricking en masse"

Mars 2018, ITW Kymera on 25m lines The latest trick I'm working on (getting acquainted with?) is the flic flac - I expect it to be a quite long term project. In the light winter winds the Kymera serves me well for this purpose (more reading in http://kitelife.com/forum/blogs/entry/303-different-moods-of-winter-wide-wind-window-tricking-in-light-winter-winds/ ). First part of image: A recent (and lately unfortunately a bit rare) prework session. In the sky you can see a sun dog and a faint halo around the sun. Second and third part of image: I like the mood of the greenis
  4. I have a Kymera dual line kite for sale. It's lime green in color and virtually brand new. I have two of these but I only need one so I'm letting one go. It is an amazing kite which easily does all the latest tricks. Sail - Icarex polyester Frame - Sky Shark P300 carbon Size - 7’-2” x 3’-2”. Also comes with original 58/36” case and a fixed 15-gram weight on the spine and another one on the tail, plus two extra 5-gram tail weights. Sells new for $225. This one is almost new and I'm asking $150 including shipping
  5. Hi, I am in search of a new owner. Since arriving at my current home sometime in Nov of 2016, I have been out flying a few times. During these occasions, I have been flipped, twirled, dragged, flown a little, but mostly crashed. Yeah mainly crashed, not too much fly time. Results of these crashes have caused a few things to break, tear, or get lost. To begin, I have a tear in the center near the tail section. This tear has been taped with kite repair tape. Seems to be holding ok. Next we have had a broken center spreader that has been replaced. Not sure of the brand, but it’s the red/black one
  6. From the album: Exult's Photos

Afternoon, 6th of May 2017 Ladugårdsgärdet, forecasted 4-5m/s 2 x Kymera on 30m 50kg lines Ready to roll up into launch position by using a hard wind parking method (the lines/leaders up and around the trailing edge so that the kite can be rolled forward into launch position by pulling the lines). It wasn't always necessary with this type of start, conditions were quite OK today, but was sometimes a bit on the lower side - no tail weights fitted (serves no purpose here anyhow). If you want to apply low wind techniques you need to have both the noses pointing either up or down at the s

This is to prove that the Aerostar Sano SSL ( http://kitelife.com/forum/gallery/image/5708-aerostar-sano-ssl/ ) is a spitting image of the ITW Hydra through the image ( http://kitelife.com/forum/gallery/image/6185-sail-panel-design-style/ ). Don't you aaabsolutely agree ?
  8. From the album: Exult's Photos

This is an image comment inspired by @SHBKF 's image http://kitelife.com/forum/gallery/image/5708-aerostar-sano-ssl/ . I can't claim any first in series rare prototype extra special one of a kind kite here (where do one get hold off stuff like this and stuff like @riffclown 's http://kitelife.com/forum/gallery/image/6184-cavaliers-du-ciel-prototype-23/ anyway?). The reason/excuse for publishing this image is that I think the artistic part of the design, the sail pattern of the Aerostar Sano SSL, to some extent though large differences, share a similar style with the kites in the image. So
  9. Probable cause and image of the worn/torn Fazer XXL LE dacron has been added below in the last log entry about the XXL. The February log entries: An Under Powered Fazer XXL and a Somewhat Pulling Kymera Kind of Cascading En Masse Tricking Leading the Way to Longer Cascading At Last the Fazer XXL in Decent Wind - or the Session of Wear and Tear Can you relate to any contents? Am I missing a good short cut of trick learning (is there such a thing?) somewhere? What was your subjective way into tricking or a certain trick that made you see the light? Any similar
  10. So i have been searching and searching for the right kite. a few months now. no rush as i have a few that i am very happy with! i have been flying a UL and standard Ocius all summer. but its to fast for me. its a great trick kite but to fast and squirely for me i didnt have time to fix over steer and under steer. so i needed a slower kite. and i needed a kite that only did what i told it to do. I finally found it this weekend. A Kymera! wasnt first on my list. i was looking at lots of kites much higher in price but i never even tried one. until this week. i flew Johns for a while and it was gr
  11. Hello from Spain! After years enjoying visiting this forum I would like to present myself. I live in Spain and I fly dual and quad line kites, also the Urban ninja single line. I´m always trying to learn to improve my skills and Kitelife helps me a lot. Thank you very much for your work!!! Recently I have bought a wonderful Kymera kite from kiteparts.net. I have only fly the kite once and I like it a lot .... but I´m not sure about the tension of the sail. I would like to know if is it normal or not that the sail is so loose after the assembly. Here I show some little videos of my kite where
  12. We're pleased to yet again announce the next prize being given away to our most appreciated supporters, the Kitelife Subscribers...
