Composite kite images

Recommended Posts

Lately I've been playing with pulling stills out of video and overlaying the frames to have a still image "show" motion.. Thought I'd share the efforts. Some of these you have seen. Some are new but from older footage.

If I send you the video clip, can you document the moment I broke the leading edge in my B-Pro? I'd make that the background image on my cell phone to use as a reminder 😫.

As long as the camera is fixed and not panning around, sure..  That's the big requirement to make these. The camera has to be still..

I have access to Photoshop via Adobe Creative Cloud through the university and have played around with extracting individual video frames  in Photoshop in order to edit and save them.

Then we'll set it up so I can share a screen with you and show you how to do it.. It's not difficult. Just a matter of taking out everything you don't want from the top layers. We'll do a simple 3 frame version. Once you have that, the rest is pretty simple. I use paint Shop Pro. (It's what I have) And VLC for the playback/capture.

@Paul LaMasters Catch on 120's   My camera was set too high to get the actual catch but the distance traveled seemed almost slow motion. (Dorey 2016)
