spencerpdx Posted December 9, 2020 Report Share Posted December 9, 2020 So, I’ve got this 30 year-old fighter that came with a marking tape tail for those days when you just want flying to be easy. The tail attaches to the kite with Velcro and over the years the tail has gotten shorter and shorter. I ordered some Presco brand marking tape, but wasn’t sure what type of adhesive might be best to try to add a small square of Velcro to it might be. The sticky-back velcro will probably work as long as you use enough area to withstand the shear force generated by the drag on the tape and its weight. Or other recommendations? A few largish stitches with a needle and light thread would help reinforce either the sticky-back velcro or glue methods I should think, eh?
