Thanks for the welcome, John.  I'm relatively new to kite flying other than some home-made kites during my childhood....didn't we all enjoy that!  More recently, we've visited Galveston, Texas the past two winters and with the daily steady wind conditions, it is a perfect area for flying kites.  I visited the local kite store and soon found myself intrigued with the beauty, creative designs, and colors of their kite selection.  I purchased a Hoffmann Sunrise Bowkite and was "hooked" on kite-flying again.  I have since added to my collection with the Hoffmann Canard Delta, a Premier Box Delta, 3D Pelican, and a Killips Foil 20.  I am presently looking for a Riviera Highlighter Delta and/or a Sweet 16 Delta - either new or used (both made by Into The Wind).  If any of the forum members have one available, please contact me.

My wife and I live near Two Harbors, Minnesota in northeastern Minnesota...near the coastline of Lake Superior.  God blessed us with four sons and two grandchildren.  I am retired from the University of Minnesota Extension and the Cook/Lake Soil & Water Conservation Districts and worked in the field of natural resources conservation.  We also operated a landscape tree farm for 35+ years that was started to fund our boys college educations.  In addition to flying kites, my other hobbies include vegetable and flower gardening, hunting (elk/deer/grouse), fishing, biking, hiking, archery, harvesting Chaga mushrooms with our golden retriever, Sophie (sell them nationwide), and eating chocolate with my wife.  God is good...even during life's occasional "character-building" moments!

God Bless,

Wayne
