Why use kite line with higher lb. test than your body weight?

Elasticity, the inertia created during stretch can "head toward" the break point.

Actual weight of the line itself, collectively, really long lengths hang from the kite, never mind whatever moisture is picked up, etc.

Gusts, or yanks by hand can add more pull than "body weight vs kite".

Also, just the ease of handling a larger line in hand.

Just some thoughts, incomplete and open to debate. ;)
