Inverted hover

Hey Folks,

So i've been trying to practice hovering inverted but keep getting different results. On occasion I can get the kite to hover really well. However most of the time it seems like the kite has a mind of its own and rocks back and forth like its on pendulum.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

The rocking back and forth is a sign that you are coming close to overcontrolling the kite. Try not to man-handle the kite. Just make small adjustments on either hand to keep the kite stable.

To practice inverted hovers, try setting the kite up inverted on the ground, then fly the kite up in reverse a couple of feet, and try to hold it there as long as you can. Once you lose control, just set it down, and try again.

Hi ;)

One thing you can try while you are practicing your inverted hover you can try things like pushing down till it's stable and moving your body back a touch for lift. I've seen 1st place masters use their body to utilize as much wind window as possible. The more wind window you cover in competition, the better your chances are.

Try pulling back on your right handle just a little and kite will slide left. Pull back on your left handle the kite will slide right. How fun is that?!

Thanks for the tip Watty I will be sure to work on finessing the kite rather that letting my testoserone take over. ;)

Thanks for the link John!
