On the Northwest corner of the mit, it receives consistent and clean wind off the lake. The area is beautiful too, located minutes and within view of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park...the dunes in the area, which face the lake, also make the region one of the best locations to hanglide, paraglide and sail plane too...I watch them float over my house almost every day!
