John Barresi Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 Jump back to the home page, and you'll now see " Kitelife Magazine (The E'Zine) " as the first section on the index! In there, you'll see the very first issue of Kitelife (#1 - Apr '98"), ready for YOUR viewing and enjoyment. == Granted, it's not as "pretty" as what you've gotten used to with the light/dark templates of our current main site... But it's pretty darned clean, and you can now interact with the content, share it, add thoughts or debate, etc. Also, I think you'll be tickled at how much more responsive the search engine is with regard to magazine content. Last point of attention for now, note the "Similar Topics" section below each forum thread... 5, at random. == The search engine, tags and similar topics will get more and more accurate as the content gets loaded in. == I'm still getting a handle on formatting the article layouts in a way that works well on the forum, but I think it's a good start. == Please... DO SHARE YOUR FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS on the new format, RIGHT HERE, I want to hear it! Any posts on the magazine articles should be on topic, and relevant to the respective content. Respect the authors! Quote
John Barresi Posted October 29, 2011 Author Report Posted October 29, 2011 Ah, forgot to say... Some of the authors are inaccessible (either from passing on or leaving kiting), messages to those folks are set to bounce back. Eventually, I'd love to see a few of them come back to read what folks have to share in response to their articles. Quote
John Barresi Posted November 1, 2011 Author Report Posted November 1, 2011 As you might have seen already, issue #2 (May '98) has been converted and is now available for viewing in the new format. http://kitelife.com/forum/forum/138-2-may-98/ My layout is getting better as I do more and more articles this way, especially as the image shape/sizes become more uniform, I like it a lot! Be sure to rate and "like" your favorite articles, and of course, you are most welcome to comment on them as well. Reminder again - any posts on the magazine articles should be on topic, and relevant to the respective content. Quote
