wakechick Posted November 14, 2011 Report Posted November 14, 2011 This video is unfreakingbelievable!!! I can't stop watching it... seriously. You make it seem so effortless... despite the fact that I know damn well that it's not. I'm so envious of your kite flying skills. This video inspires me! That little flip thing you do at 7:04... I've never seen that before. Is it common? Only 123 days till the WCRC!!! Quote
John Barresi Posted November 15, 2011 Author Report Posted November 15, 2011 Thanks Sari! In all honestly, it is mostly effortless... It's not a physical feat, nor is it particularly challenging to DO. It is challenging to learn, but totally possible if you connect with other fliers on a semi-regular basis. In my experience, what defines the most skilled pilots is focus and little to no self-judgment, always moving forward, so to speak. == The "flip thing" at 7:04 is called a "Flic Flac", as shown here... There's a full tutorial on it in the subscriber downloads, and we'll cover it at the clinic along with everything else. Quote
